LEAD HAND POSITION. (a) A Lead Hand is defined as a unionized staff who has been designated by the department manager to provide support and guidance to staff in the department, but does not replace the manager. They act as a liaison between the department manager and provide guidance to the department staff for operational, technical or project issues. They may be also be required to offer support to student employees for scheduling and training purposes.

LEAD HAND POSITION. The Club proposes to designate three existing positions as “Lead Hand” positions, one in each of the three following departments: - Kitchen (Head Chef - Lead Hand) - Dining Room (Head Waiter/Waitress - Lead Hand) - Bar (Head Bartender - Lead Hand) The incumbents of these positions will continue to perform the duties and responsibilities of their respective positions, including having the authority and responsibility, under the Manager, to: - recommend to the Manager, for her/his approval, the scheduling of staff in his/her department in light of the anticipated workload; - verify (by initialing) time-clock cards on a weekly basis against this schedule; - co-ordinate and direct the work and activities of all staff in his/her area of responsibility within the parameters of Club policies and daily procedures; - investigate on an immediate basis any issue or improper action by, between or among members of staff in her/his area of responsibility; - communicate or consult with the Club Manager on any issue, as deemed necessary, and to assist in the resolution of the issue. A “Lead Hand” will not initiate or perform any disciplinary action, which is the sole responsibility of the management of the Club. A “Lead Hand” will report directly to the Club Manager. All employees in the department will be required to take direction from a “Lead Hand”. APPENDIX “B”

The Company will select Team Leaders in accordance with Article 14.2 (c). The Team Leader will have authority to direct workers both inside and outside of the bargaining unit.

  • Joint Job Evaluation Committee The parties entered into agreement December 17, 1992, to ensure the Joint Gender- Neutral Job Evaluation Plan remains current and operational and to that end endorsed the Joint Gender-Neutral Job Evaluation Maintenance Agreement. The parties agree that a guiding principle for the Committee is that there shall be no discrimination between male and female employees wherein a person of one sex is paid more than a person of the other sex for similar or substantially similar work.

  • Labour Management Committee (a) Where the parties mutually agree that there are matters of mutual concern and interest that would be beneficial if discussed at a Labour-Management Committee Meeting during the term of this Agreement, the following shall apply.
