JOINT CONFERENCE BOARD - PROVINCIAL. The Provincial Joint Conference Board shall be maintained for the duration of this Agreement. Purpose The purpose of this Board is to improve the sheet metal industry in general throughout the Province of Ontario and to develop and encourage a harmonious relationship between the various trade associations and employers covered by this Collective Agreement on the one hand and the several local unions and their members on the other by a responsible and informed approach to questions and problems referred to them: through the terms of this Collective Agreement, Party to this Collective Agreement whether the matter be local or provincial in scope. Composition and Procedure This Board shall be composed of five representatives from the Ontario Sheet Metal and Air Handling Group and five from the Ontario Sheet Metal Workers' Conference. A quorum shall consist of three representatives from each of the aforementioned parties. The chairmanship of this Board shall alternate between the parties from meeting to meeting. The secretary shall be from the party other than the one the chairman represents. This Board shall not hear matters which virtue of this Agreement are the prerogative of the Local Joint Conference Board to hear in the first instance, until they have been so dealt with and referred on by that Board. This Board shall render decisions on matters referred to it, which decisions shall be final and binding on all parties to the difference or dispute, subject to approval by the Board of Directors of the Ontario Sheet Metal and Air Handling and the Ontario Sheet Metal Workers' Conference. Decisions of this Board shall be by majority vote. Representatives of either party to this Board shall be entitled to cast votes to a total of the number of representatives each have on this Board. Voting shall be by secret ballot. In the event of a tie vote or of a decision not gaining the approval referred to above the matter may, if it deals with a question of the interpretation, administration or violation of this Agreement, be referred to arbitration as provided in Article herein. This Board shall not render decisions which are contrary to or at variance with provisions of this Collective Agreement. This Board shall meet at the written request of either of its parties upon receipt of four days notice or such longer period as mutually agreed upon: but in the least, the Board shall meet once in each quarter of each calendar year.

  • JOINT CONFERENCE BOARD (a) A Joint Conference Board shall be formed which will be composed of the Board of Directors of the Boilermaker Contractors' Association of British Columbia, and Members of Local Lodge 359 as appointed by the Business Manager. The Joint Conference Board shall meet at least once during each calendar year or more periodically upon request.

  • Labor Management Conferences The Union and the Employer mutually agree that in the interest of efficient management and harmonious employee relations, meetings shall be held between Union and Employer representatives when appropriate. Such meetings shall be scheduled within one week of either party submitting an agenda to the other, or at a time mutually agreed upon by the parties, and shall be limited to:

  • Parent Conferences A. 1. Elementary and exceptional education schools shall be dismissed early a minimum of four (4) half days during the school year to grant teachers time for parent-teacher conferences.

  • Pre-Job Conferences a) The Employer will notify the Union that a project has been awarded to the Employer following the award. Prior to the start of each project, a pre-job conference will be held to determine all site-specific issues as outlined in this Agreement. This conference may be conducted via telephone, through a scheduled meeting or by some other practical means as agreed to by the parties.

  • PRE-JOB CONFERENCE Section 1. Upon written request by either Party, a pre-job conference will be held prior to the time the Employees of such Employer begin work on the project.

  • Parent-Teacher Conferences A. Unit member shall be available at mutually arranged times during the regular school day to confer with parents regarding learning difficulties, student progress and/or behavioral problems a student may be experiencing. Unit members are encouraged to arrange a meeting or conference with parents before or after the regular school day if both time and place are mutually agreeable.

  • Attendance at Conferences and Conventions (a) The parties to this Agreement recognize that attendance or participation at conferences, conventions, symposia, workshops and other gatherings of a similar nature contributes to the maintenance of high professional standards.

  • Conference Leave Upon written request, supported by a copy of an invitation, an employee shall be granted leave paid at full salary of up to two thirty-fifths of her Appointment Contract(s) to present papers at academic conferences. Such leave shall not be claimed if an authorized exchange of services agreeable to the employee can be arranged.

  • Church Conference Vote At least two-thirds (2/3) of the professing members present at a church conference of the Local Church must vote to disaffiliate from The United Methodist Church “for reasons of conscience regarding a change in the requirements and provisions of the Book of Discipline related to the practice of homosexuality or the ordination or marriage of self-avowed practicing homosexuals as resolved and adopted by the 2019 General Conference, or the actions or inactions of its annual conference related to these issues which follow.” Local Church shall provide documentation, to the satisfaction of Annual Conference, which evidences the result of the disaffiliation vote taken at the church conference. Such documentation must be certified by an authorized officer of Local Church and shall be included as an Exhibit A to this Disaffiliation Agreement.

  • PRE-BID CONFERENCE A Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held on Monday, May 23, 2022, @ 2:00 PM, located at W220 Pre-con Conference Room, 0000 Xxxxxxxxxxxxx Xxxxx (Xxxx Xxxxxxxxx) Xxxxxxx, XX 00000. Attendance is not mandatory but is encouraged.
