Joint Research Projects. 5.1 In the event a joint research project is proposed by either party, such research effort shall be carefully scrutinized by both parties to evaluate the need for the joint effort, the qualifications of the proposed participating faculty members, and the location of the research activity. If a decision is made by both parties to approve the proposed project as a possible joint effort, both institutions agree to actively seek outside funding for the proposed joint research project prior to their final approval and implementation of the joint project.
5.2 In such joint projects between the two institutions, care shall be taken to assure that there will be parity in the numbers and institutional ranks of the personnel involved.
5.3 Before any activity may commence on any joint project, it shall be mutually agreed in writing that any publication resulting therefrom shall be credited to a previously agreed-upon author(s), provided that each of such person(s) participate in the project.
5.4 If the parties agree that the proposed joint research project mutually beneficial and appropriate, a Program Agreement shall be executed outlining the terms and conditions of the project.
Joint Research Projects. For the joint research projects the cooperation will be conducted as follows:
2.1 Both parties will support up to three (3) joint research projects implemented on specific subjects, as stated in the Article 2, point 2.1. with the participation of scientists from each Party.
2.2 The call for proposals of joint research projects will be announced simoultaneously by the Parties in April every two years. The first call for proposals will be announced in April 3, 2023 with a deadline of May 31, 2023. The selected joint research projects will be in place for a duration of two years.
2.3 The joint research projects will be expected to start January 1st, 2024.
2.4 Both parties, CNR and NRF, will:
a) gather all the applications from their respective sides,
b) review them separately, and
c) exchange prioritized lists by the beginning of October.
d) select the joint research projects to be funded on the basis of financial availability and the provisions of the Scientific Collaboration Agreement.
e) finance its own team of researchers.
2.5 The list of joint research projects mutually approved will be made public once available.
Joint Research Projects. The Parties will agree on a case-by-case basis on the rights, titles and interests in and to any Creation(s) made in conjunction with or as a result of joint research projects, prior to engaging into the respective projects.
Joint Research Projects. As a rule, the sending Party shall cover the international travel costs of the researchers from the sending country, while the receiving Party shall cover the maintenance costs. Costs for personnel, equipment, and consumables shall be covered by the Parties separately. Funding may be complemented by other national or European sources.
Joint Research Projects. For the joint research projects the cooperation will be conducted as follows:
2.1 Both parties will support up to five (5) joint research projects with the participation of scientists from each Party every two (2) years, starting from 2025.
2.2 The call for proposals of joint research projects will be announced simoultaneously by the Parties in June every two years, starting 2024. The selected joint research projects will be in place for a duration of two years.
2.3 The joint research projects will start on January 2025 and 2027.
2.4 The Parties will:
a) gather all the applications from their respective sides,
b) review them separately, and
c) exchange prioritized lists by the end of November 2024 and 2026.
d) select the joint research projects to be funded on the basis of financial availability and the provisions of the Scientific Collaboration Agreement.
e) finance its own team of researchers.
2.5 The list of joint research projects mutually approved will be made public once available.
Joint Research Projects. (a) The Participants will issue open calls as they may jointly decide to support joint scientific projects based on mutual interest and intend to develop new knowledge and technologies in the areas of cooperation.
(b) The Participants will receive project proposals through a joint Request for Proposals (RFP) they jointly approve based on their respective evaluations. The Participants will jointly decide the RFP timeline and the project evaluation process.
Joint Research Projects. The duration of a joint research project is normally up to three years. However, extension may be granted, if deemed appropriate. Joint research projects are carried out, in principle, by two research teams, one of each side.
Joint Research Projects. The ICDD network worked along three main research clusters in the first phase of cooperation (2009-2014), responding to (1) Sustainable Value Creation for Decent Work, (2) Instruments for Promoting Decent Work, and (3) Strategies for Empowerment for Decent Work. In the second phase (2015-2019), there is a shift towards an enhanced cooperation between agricultural and social disciplines/sciences within the network, implementing 5 new research lines in the agenda:(1) Decent work along agricultural value chains, (2) Organizing the informal economy, (3) Extractivism and rural welfare, (4) Rural-urban linkages: transformation processes, livelihoods, and social protection, (5) Rethinking development cooperation.
Joint Research Projects. 8.1 The Parties will agree separately on the contents, terms and conditions, and funding of any joint research projects between the Parties to be conducted in the Centre.
Joint Research Projects. For the joint research projects the cooperation will be conducted as follows:
2.1 The Parties shall promote scientific collaboration on the following research areas: • Climate change • Biodiversity • Bioeconomy
2.2 The parties will support up to ten (10) joint research projects implemented in the target priority areas, as stated in the Article 2, point 2.1. with the participation of scientists from each Party.
2.3 The call for proposals of joint research projects will be announced simoultaneously by the Parties every two years. The first call for proposals will be announced on 30 September, 2024 with a deadline of 29 November, 2024. The selected joint research projects will be in place for a duration of two years.
2.4 The joint research projects will be expected to start in the first trimester of 2025.
2.5 Both parties, CNR and CONFAP, will:
a) gather all the applications from their respective sides;
i. from the Brazilian side, proposals must be submitted though the link: xxxxx://xxxxxxx.xxxxxx.xxx.xx/; the participating State Funding Agencies (FAPs) may require that the proposals must be submitted also in their respective platforms.
b) review them separately;
i. from the Brazilian side, each of the involved FAPs will perform the review and evaluation;
c) exchange prioritized lists in the first semester of 2025;
d) select the joint research projects to be funded on the basis of financial availability and the provisions of the Scientific Collaboration Agreement;
e) finance its own team of researchers
i. from the Brazilian side, funding will be provided by the participating FAPs.
2.6 The list of joint research projects mutually approved will be made public once available.
