Common use of Jury and Witness Leave Clause in Contracts

Jury and Witness Leave. 19.00. Any Employee who is called for jury duty shall be excused from work for the days served. The Employee shall receive his/her normal rate of pay for each day of jury duty for which he or she would have worked. During this time, if the Employee is not actually performing jury duty, the Employee shall return to work for the remainder of the work day. The payment received for jury duty shall be returned to the Employer; however, the mileage reimbursement shall be retained by the Employee.
