Jury Duty/Subpoena Leave. Leave of absence with pay shall be granted for jury duty. The employee shall notify the District when notification to serve on jury duty is received. Upon request, the employee may secure support from the District office in seeking relief from jury duty when it interferes with professional obligations to their District assignment. When an employee is subpoenaed as a witness in a court or other legal proceeding, leave shall be granted with full salary but with witness fees, if any, remitted to the District; provided that if said employee is subpoenaed in a case brought or supported by the Association or as a witness with a direct or indirect interest in the proceedings, leave shall be granted without pay (except as may be modified or required by the employee protection provision contained herein). In no event shall the District grant more than two (2) days of witness leave per employee associated with any separate court or legal proceeding.
