LABOR SAVING MACHINERY. The Union agrees that there shall be no restriction on the use of labor-saving machinery or equipment on the job. However, any such machinery or equipment shall be operated by workers employed under the terms of this Agreement.

LABOR SAVING MACHINERY. A Contractor shall not be hindered or prevented in using any type or quantity of safe machinery, tools, or equipment.

  • Maternity/Adoption/Parental Leave a) In accordance with the Saskatchewan Employment Act an employee shall be granted maternity, adoption, and/or parental leave of absence without pay.

  • Annual Leave Loading (a) In addition to their ordinary pay, an employee, other than a shiftworker, will be paid an annual leave loading of 17.5% of their ordinary pay on a maximum of 152 hours/four weeks annual leave per annum.

  • Maternity Leave/Parental Leave Adoption Leave (Effective for maternity and/or parental leaves that commenced before May 1, 2019)

  • Care Leave Employees will be granted up to twenty-eight (28) hours leave in each calendar year for the purpose of providing or arranging for unexpected care for the employee’s spouse, dependent or parent(s), or to accompany them to obtain unexpected medical care. Fifty percent (50%) of the leave granted under this clause (up to 14 hours) shall be provided by the Employer as paid leave. The remaining fifty percent (50%) (up to 14 hours) will be contributed by the employee from the employee’s accrued leave entitlements (if any). If the employee has no accrued leave entitlement the employee will take her portion of the leave as unpaid leave. In each case where leave is granted, fifty percent (50%) of the leave will be paid for by the Employer (to a maximum of 14 hours) and fifty percent (50%) by the employee, as per the preceding paragraph. Care leave will include all purposes under Section 50(1) paragraph 2 & 3 of the Employment Standards Act, 2000. Employees accrue seniority and service while on such leave. To clarify, this article, and other clauses in the current agreement that provide for paid or unpaid leaves for purposes under the new ESA provisions, will be deemed to offset the requirement for the Employer to provide for ten days of unpaid leave to the extent that the Care Leave clause, and other leave clauses are accessed during the course of a year.

  • Casual Labour 19.1.1 A casual employee is an employee employed on an occasional basis and whose work pattern is not regular and systematic. When a person is engaged for casual employment the employee will be informed in writing that the employee is to be employed as a casual, the job to be performed, the classification level, the actual or likely length of engagement including number of hours to be worked per week, and the relevant rate of pay.

  • Domestic Violence Leave Domestic or Sexual Violence Leave will be granted in accordance with the Employment Standards Act as amended from time to time.

  • Maternity/Parental Leave The term of the temporary posting shall be for the term of the illness or maternity/parental leave but shall not exceed eighteen (18) continuous months.

  • LEAVE OF ABSENCE - UNION BUSINESS 11.08.01 Employees who have been elected or appointed to carry out business authorized by the Union on a full-time basis shall be granted a Leave of Absence for this purpose. The Union will advise the Company of the name(s) of such employee(s), the term of such leave, and the specific purpose. The Union shall repay the Company for the Company's costs incurred in Employee Benefit Plans and the employee(s) shall continue to pay their contributions directly to the Company. The Company shall provide such employees with free and reduced-rate transportation in accordance with Company regulations. Such employees shall continue to accrue seniority and service while on leave of absence.

  • Childcare Leave Every employee who has served the Company for at least three months and who has a child below the age of seven (7) years shall be entitled to the prescribed number of days of paid childcare leave in a year in accordance with the relevant provisions in the Children Development Co-Savings Act or the Employment Act, as the case may be.

  • Catastrophic Leave The County will administer a Catastrophic Leave procedure designed to permit individual donations of annual leave, vacation, healthcare leave (8 hours maximum per fiscal year), compensatory and/or PIP leave time to an employee who is required to be on an extended unpaid leave due to a catastrophic medical condition or other serious circumstances.
