Land Details. Previously, Reserve 31563 was vested in trust to be held by the City for the purpose of ‘Parking and Recreation’. Originally the land was one Reserve in 2008, Lot 000 Xxxxxxxx Xxxxxx (hereinafter “the Site”) was subdivided from the Reserve. The City held a Management Order over the Site, which is Crown land in the name of the State of Western Australia, and measuring approximately 7,245m2. The Site incorporates an arts centre (“the Centre”), an outdoor undercover area, parking bays, and toilets. A site location plan is attached. Under the Management Order, the City was entitled to utilisation of the Site. On 16 May 2016 Lot 534 on Deposited Plan 188249 was transferred to the City in Fee Simple. The City is the owner of this land. The former State Government Infant’s School is identified on the City of Bunbury Municipal Heritage Inventory and Heritage List as being of exceptional significance. The site is not State Heritage listed however. As the site is listed on the City’s Heritage List all forms of development must obtain a development approval. The Stirling Street Arts Centre Management Committee Incorporated (hereinafter “the SSACMC”) currently has use of the Site and the Centre, specifically towards the provision of accessible, affordable and diverse programs of arts, culture and learning for community members in the Bunbury region. The City and the SSACMC wish to record their mutual understanding and cooperation with regards to the SSACMC’s continued use of the Site and the Centre.
