Language Premium Pay Sample Clauses

Language Premium Pay. The City shall pay an additional four percent (4%) above the employee’s base hourly wage to employees fluent in a language other than English (such as Spanish, Russian, or American Sign Language) if the City determines the second language is beneficial to operations. The City will establish a process to determine an employee’s fluency.

Language Premium Pay. Association members who are proficient in another language that is required by the City will receive an additional $1.15 added to the member’s base hourly rate of pay. The premium shall be paid for all hours worked, including overtime.

Language Premium Pay. 43.2.1. The Language Premium Pay will be $0.92 per hour. Language premium pay will be paid on all hours worked and paid leave hours. To qualify, an employee must attain a satisfactory score on a County approved competency assessment in the applicable language. Additional premium pay will not be paid for speaking more than one language. Fire-shift employees will receive an adjusted shift rate.

Language Premium Pay. Members with sufficient skill in communicating in one or more languages other than English shall receive an annual premium payment of $500.00, to be paid with their uniform allowance. The Department shall determine the means of measuring language skill and the languages that will be eligible for compensation.

Language Premium Pay. If the City determines additional language skills in a language other than English are beneficial to operations, employees are eligible for language premium pay. The City shall pay an additional three (3%) above regular base salary to employees who earn an “intermediate” level certificate in a language other than English. The City will establish a process to determine an employee’s language skills to earn the premium pay under this Section.
