Common use of Layoff/Bumping Clause in Contracts

Layoff/Bumping. In the event of a layoff (force reduction) which affects an employee(s) of the department, the reduction of the work force within the bargaining unit shall be accomplished by layoff of the employee within the department who has the least department seniority within the group.
