Leave for Birth or Adoption of a Child On the birth or adoption of a child, the parent who has not applied for parental leave benefits or is not in receipt of Employment Insurance benefits, and who has been employed for more than one year, shall be granted special leave with pay up to a maximum of five (5) working days. The leave shall be arranged in consultation with the managing supervisor and the Director, Human Resources and must be taken within four (4) months of the birth or adoption. Notice of intention to take such leave shall be given as soon as possible, but no less than thirty (30) working days in advance of the commencement of such leave. Should the employee later decide to apply for parental/adoption leave benefits, the benefit from the Employer shall be reduced by any days already taken pursuant to this sub-article.
Leave for Birth or Adoption of a Child An employee shall be granted special leave with pay of one (1) working day on the occasion of the birth of his/her child. This leave may be divided into two parts and taken on separate days. Under special circumstances the Employer may extend this period to a maximum of five (5) working days and such extension shall not be unreasonably withheld.

  • Eligibility for Sick Leave with Pay Employees shall be eligible for sick leave with pay immediately upon accrual.

  • Eligibility for Sick Leave Subject to the provisions herein, employees and officers (hereinafter called "employees") who are absent from their duties because of illness or disability are eligible for sick leave.

  • PERIOD OF SERVICE The Consultant shall complete the Services on or before December 31, 2019 (the “Deadline”), unless the Authority agrees to extend the Deadline for good reason; provided, however, that the Authority may terminate this Contract at any time in accordance with Section 14. Time is of the essence in performance of this Contract. There will be no obligation established between Authority and the Consultant for performance of the Services until Authority provides the Consultant execution of this Contract and receipt by the Authority of appropriate Certificates of Insurance and other documentation as may be required herein.   • Credited Service A year of “Credited Service” shall mean a calendar year in which the Participant is paid for at least 1,000 hours of service (as defined in the frozen Hasbro Pension Plan) as an employee of the Company or of a Subsidiary of the Company. A Participant does not need to be, or have been, a participant in the Hasbro Pension Plan.

  • Eligibility for Leave All regular full-time employees shall be eligible for paid leave. Further, all regular part-time employees shall receive paid leave on a ration of paid leave time accrued to the number of hours worked in the work week. All non-regular part-time, temporary, and seasonal employees will not be eligible to receive paid leave.
