LEAVE OF ABSENCE FOR ILLNESS OR DISABILITY. 144 A non-probationary employee who (1) is unable to work because of personal sickness or injury and (2) has exhausted sick leave payments and vacation payments shall be granted a leave of absence without pay upon furnishing evidence of disability satisfactory to the Employer. The leave of absence shall be for the period of continuing disability, but not to exceed six months, unless extended by the Employer. Extensions will not be denied unreasonably, but in no case shall a leave and extensions exceed two years or the employee's University seniority, whichever period of time is the lesser. The leave of absence may be terminated at any time if the employee fails to furnish satisfactory evidence of continuing disability.
