Leaves for Jury Duty. When requested, a teacher may serve on jury duty. The Board shall pay the teacher his/her full salary provided that such teacher agrees to return to the Board all wages received for serving on jury duty. This does not include mileage.

Leaves for Jury Duty. A classified employee who is called for jury duty, or subpoenaed to give testimony before a judicial tribunal, in arbitration, negotiations, or mediation proceedings which necessitate his/her absence from duty, shall be compensated for the difference between the classified employee's regular salary and the pay received for such obligation for the period he/she is away from his/her regular employment. The District reserves the right to petition to have an employee exempted from jury duty service in situations where lengthy employee absence would impose a hardship on the District.
