Common use of LENGTH OF LEAVE ENTITLEMENT Clause in Contracts

LENGTH OF LEAVE ENTITLEMENT. An eligible employee is entitled to a total of twelve (12) work weeks of leave during any twelve (12)-month period. Entitlement to leave for the birth or placement of a child for adoption or xxxxxx care expires twelve (12) months after the birth or placement. The twelve (12)-month period is measured backward from the date of leave use. All leave usage which qualifies under the terms of the FMLA leave shall be counted towards the available twelve (12) work weeks within a twelve (12)-month period, including intermittent and reduced workload leaves. Reduced workload leave entitlement is calculated on cumulative hours of leave taken, up to the number of hours equivalent to twelve (12) times the number of hours normally worked weekly.
