Common use of LENGTH OF LEAVE ENTITLEMENT Clause in Contracts

LENGTH OF LEAVE ENTITLEMENT. An eligible employee is entitled to a total of 12 workweeks of leave during any 12-month period. Entitlement to leave for the birth or placement of a child for adoption or xxxxxx care expires 12 months after the birth or placement. The 12-month period is measured backward from the date of leave use. All leave usage which qualified under the terms of the FMLA leave shall be counted towards the available 12 workweeks within a 12-month period, including intermittent and reduced workload leaves. Reduced workload leave entitlement is calculated on cumulative hours of leave taken, up to the number of hours equivalent to 12 times the number of hours normally worked weekly.
