Local Building Codes. Judicial Council is not subject to local jurisdictions’ building codes, nor is it required to obtain building permits from local jurisdictions for construction on real estate owned or controlled by Judicial Council. However, the design and construction of utility connections and fire-protection systems may require liaison with local jurisdictions. Committee members may participate in the work of the committee during working hours without loss of pay or benefits.
