LOCAL INDUSTRY FUND Clause Samples
The Local Industry Fund clause establishes a requirement for contributions to a fund dedicated to supporting local industry initiatives or development. Typically, this clause specifies the percentage or amount that must be paid, the timing of such payments, and the types of projects or contracts to which the fund applies—for example, construction projects in a particular region. Its core practical function is to ensure that a portion of project funds is allocated to benefit the local industry, thereby promoting local economic growth and supporting community development.
LOCAL INDUSTRY FUND. Contributions to the Local Industry Fund by the employers for all employees, journeymen apprentices, shall be at the rate of (per Item 2) per hour for all hours worked.

LOCAL INDUSTRY FUND. The provision contained in Article 8, Section 12(b) of the Standard Form of Union Agreement is voided by agreement of the parties.
LOCAL INDUSTRY FUND. The Employer shall pay to Capital District SMACNA, forty-seven cents ($0.47) per hour for each hour worked on or after the effective date of this Agreement, by all employees of the Employer covered by this Agreement. Payment shall be made monthly on or before the 20th day of the succeeding month. The Capital District SMACNA chapter will reimburse the Local 83 JATC the fee required for members and/or apprentices welding certifications and upgrades, not to exceed $750 per year. Out of town contractors, (not signatory) to LU 83 shall be responsible for the welding certifications and/or certification updates for the work being performed in LU 83’s jurisdiction. The Local Industry Fund shall furnish to the Business Manager of Local #83 annually, a written report describing in reasonable detail the nature of the activities in which it is engaged or which it supports directly or indirectly with any of its funds.
LOCAL INDUSTRY FUND. The employer’s local Industry Fund contribution rate shall not exceed one and one-half percent (1 ½%) of journeyman wage scale. The rate will be determined by the Industry Fund trustees on an annual basis during the term of this Agreement.
LOCAL INDUSTRY FUND. The Employer agrees to contribute for each hour paid to each employee, subject to the terms of this Agreement during the term of the Agreement to Cincinnati Area Sheet Metal Industry Fund. Effective June 1, 2007 Fund contributions are to be paid on hours worked. This Local Industry Fund shall be solely administered by the Sheet Metal Contractors' Association of Greater Cincinnati, Inc. through the established Trust Agreement under standards that will effectively protect and promote the best interests of the Industry, including but not limited to, meeting the expenses of said Association, the expenses of conducting public relations as applied to the Sheet Metal Industry and expenses connected with the Promotion of Stability of Relations between labor and management and such other purposes as are consistent with this program and no other. The Union recognizes the right of the Association to unilaterally increase or decrease the percentage and/or amount of CAIF contribution following a written notice to the Union from the Association.
LOCAL INDUSTRY FUND. (a.) The employers agree to promote programs of industry, education, research and promotion in the industrial and air pollution control field, such programs designed to expand the market for the services of the contractors and employees in the sheet metal industrial and air pollution industry, to promote, develop and support the training of employees and to acquaint customers, architects and engineers with the advantages of using the skills and abilities of the sheet metal industrial contractors and employees in any and all phases of the work.
(b.) Employers shall pay the Central Illinois Chapter of SMACNA, Inc. Sheet Metal Contractors’ Industry Fund five cents ($.05) per each hour worked effective the date of this Agreement for all employees of the employer covered by this Agreement. No payments shall be made to the Sheet Metal Industrial Contractors’ National Industry Fund of the United States effective the dates of this Agreement.
LOCAL INDUSTRY FUND. The Employer shall pay to the Local No. 33 - Youngstown District Administration and Collection Agency, Inc., twenty nine cents ($0.29) per hour for each hour worked on or after the effective date of this Agreement by each employee of the Employer covered by this Agreement. Payment shall be made monthly on or before the 15th day of the succeeding month, with a forty cents ($0.40) maximum contribution level, including ten cents ($0.10) IFUS.
LOCAL INDUSTRY FUND. The Employer shall contribute for each journeyperson sheet metal worker, and apprentice, twenty nine cents ($0.29) per hour for all hours worked, up to a maximum contribution level of forty cents ($0.40) per hour, including ten cents ($0.10) IFUS, subject to change.

8) There is specifically excluded from the purpose of the Youngstown Industry Fund, the right to use any of its funds for lobbying in support of anti-labor legislation and/or to subsidize contractors during a period or periods of work stoppages or strikes.
