LONG-TERM CONTRACT EMPLOYEE RIGHTS. Long-term contract Employees appointed to greater than twenty-four (24) hours per week, for more than sixteen (16) weeks and up to a maximum of fifty-two (52) weeks, will be compensated at a rate equal to the base rate (save and except Summer Student Employees, as defined by Article 7.07). Furthermore, the person filling the position will enjoy all the rights and benefits of the Collective Agreement which will be effective from the first day of their long-term contract, save and except:

  • EMPLOYEE RIGHTS The County shall not hinder or discipline an employee for exercising any rights or benefits provided in the Memorandum of Understanding.

  • Long Term Leave Any employee who declines a reappointment as a Teaching Assistant in order to interrupt his/her program of graduate study for a period not to exceed one (1) year will not jeopardize his/her consideration for reappointment under Article l3.03.

  • Non-Bargaining Unit Employees Employees outside the bargaining unit will not perform work that is normally done by employees in the bargaining unit. However, nothing in this Agreement shall be construed as prohibiting foremen from doing work for purposes of employee instruction and evaluation, and equipment assessment, provided in so doing a lay-off of bargaining unit employees does not result, or in the case of an emergency when regular employees are not available, provided that every reasonable effort is made to find a replacement.

  • CONTRACT EMPLOYEES Contained in Annexure D.

  • Returning Employee Rights Employees returning from authorized leave without pay will be employed in the same position or in another position in the same job classification, as determined by the Employer, provided that such reemployment is not in conflict with other articles in this Agreement. The employee and the Employer may enter into a written agreement regarding return rights at the commencement of the leave.

  • Shift Employees Employees who work rotating shift patterns or those who work qualifying shifts shall be entitled, on completion of 12 months employment on shift work, to up to an additional 5 days annual leave, based on the number of qualifying shifts worked. The entitlement will be calculated on the annual leave anniversary date. Qualifying shifts are defined as a shift which involves at least 2 hours work performed outside the hours of 8.00am to 5.00pm, excluding overtime.   • Long Term Leaves a. A unit member may be granted a leave of absence, with or without pay, by the Board of Education upon recommendation of the Superintendent or designee for a period not to exceed one (1) year when such action is not contrary to the best interests of the District.

  • Fixed Term Employees 31. The only terms of this Agreement that apply to employees who are not regular employees are those that are set out in Articles 31A, 32, 33 and 34.
