Lump Sum General Leave Payments Upon Separation or Death. Employees who leave the service of the Authority, including retirement, shall be paid for all accrued but unused General Leave. When separation is caused by death, payment shall be made to the estate of the deceased employee. The rate of payment shall be based upon the rate of pay for the employee at the time of separation. If an employee is separated because of failure to return from a leave, the rate of payment shall be based upon the rate of pay of the employee at the beginning of the leave.
