LUNCH/RELIEF PERIODS. Every bargaining unit member shall have one duty-free, uninterrupted lunch period of at least thirty (30) consecutive minutes.
LUNCH/RELIEF PERIODS. Every bargaining unit member shall have one duty-free, uninterrupted lunch period of at least thirty (30) consecutive minutes and two relief periods per day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Sites will have a clearly communicated plan to provide the relief period for every teacher.

  • Relief Period A relief period is a rest period of fifteen (15) minutes which shall be considered as work time.

  • Break Periods ‌ There will be no rest periods, organized coffee breaks or other non-working time established during working hours. Individual coffee containers will be permitted at the employee’s work location. Where 4/10s are being worked there shall be a morning and an afternoon coffee break.

  • Lunch and Break Periods 273. At the request of the Union or the City, City departments will meet and confer regarding the scheduling of break and lunch periods for unit members.   • Meal Periods (a) Meal periods shall be scheduled as closely as possible to the middle of the workday. The length of the meal period shall be not less than thirty (30) minutes and not more than sixty (60) minutes.

  • Break Period All employees shall be permitted a fifteen (15) minute rest period both in the first half and the second half of a shift of more than six (6) hours duration. If the shift is six (6) hours or less but more than two (2) hours duration one break period is permitted.

  • Meal and Break Periods The unpaid meal period shall be thirty (30) minutes. If a represented employee does not receive this thirty (30) minute meal period, he/she may be relieved at the end of eight (8) hours. If the employee’s work day is not shortened (ie: if he/she works eight and one-half (8½) hours), he/she shall be compensated under the CBA for one-half (½) hour at time-and-a half (ie: paid for 45 minutes). Two 10 (ten) minute breaks shall continue to be provided for each full-time shift.
