The 'Lunch Times' clause defines the designated period during which employees are permitted to take their lunch break during the workday. Typically, this clause specifies the start and end times for lunch, such as from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, and may outline whether the break is paid or unpaid, as well as any rules regarding leaving the workplace. Its core function is to ensure consistency and clarity regarding employee meal breaks, helping to manage workplace schedules and comply with labor regulations.
Lunch Times. Effort will be made so each unit member may be regularly scheduled for a duty-free lunch at a time when lunch is served in the building. When it is not possible to schedule otherwise and to provide adequate supervision, unit member(s) may be assigned a duty- free lunch at a time other than when lunch is served in the building. This assignment will only be made after the unit member is so informed in writing by the Principal with reasons for such assignment. Any unit member so assigned will have access to a regular school lunch if he/she so desires. No unit member shall be assigned such lunch duty two (2) consecutive years unless agreed to in writing by the unit member and the Principal.
Lunch Times. 5.5.1 Every middle school certificated unit member shall be entitled to one (1) duty-free uninterrupted lunch period each day, which shall be the same length of time as the student lunch period. 5.5.2 Elementary certificated unit members shall have a daily forty (40) minute duty-free lunch period. 5.5.2.1 On minimum days or if the site administrator declares an inclement weather day, then each certificated unit member may only be allowed their legal thirty (30) minute duty-free lunch period, however a sincere attempt will be made to preserve the forty (40) minute lunch period for elementary school unit members.
Lunch Times. Any employee working eight (8) consecutive hours or more will receive a thirty-minute paid lunch.
