Mail Facilities and Mail Boxes. The Association shall have the right to use the inter-school mail facilities and school mail boxes as it deems necessary and without the approval of building principals or other members of the administration.

Mail Facilities and Mail Boxes. 1. The Association shall have the right to use the inter-school mail facilities and school mail boxes. As a courtesy, a copy of all material for general distribution will be sent in advance to the principal of each school and to the Superintendent.
2. The Association may use the District’s e-mail system to communicate with its members regarding Association business with the following conditions:
a. Building administrators and the Superintendent will receive copies of any e-mails distributed to the general FREA membership.
x. XXXX will not use the District’s e-mail system to lobby for or against any political candidate, ballot measure, legislative bill or law, or to coordinate strikes, walkouts, work stoppages or activities that violate the Contract.
x. XXXX agrees to abide by the District’s policy and administrative regulations regarding the uses of District e-mail facilities.
3. The Association will indemnify the District regarding any claims, as a result of the Association’s use of District’s mail or e-mail facilities.

The Association shall have the right to reasonable use of the inter-school mail facilities and school mailboxes without the approval of building administrators or other members of the administration. The Association recognizes that the Board has no responsibility, or liability for delivery or miss delivery of any material. Further, said mailboxes shall not be used to distribute any materials, which can be construed as campaign material, reflecting issues related to political campaigns or activities in connection therewith, or in connection with any activity which is intended to or which would disrupt normal school operations. All material distributed shall bear the name of the Association.

Such mail must be clearly identified as Association mail by either/or both letterhead and signature. The Association will indemnify, defend, and hold the District harmless against any claims made against or any suit instituted against the District on account of this provision providing the District has notified the Association in a timely manner of any potential claim or suit.

Any such correspondence shall be in compliance with ORS 260.432.
