Common use of Management Grievance Clause in Contracts

Management Grievance. (a) The Chief Administrative Officer shall submit the matter in writing within five (5) working days from the date of the occurrence of the incident or incidents which gave rise to the grievance to the President and Recording Secretary or the Grievance Committee of the Union and seek settlement of the matter with such persons. (b) If a satisfactory settlement is not reached within seven (7) working days after the matter was submitted for settlement to the Union, the District may within twenty (20) working days refer the matter to arbitration.
