Management Trainee. It is our intent to utilize one Management Trainee position per store to prepare employees who are interested in a career in management. One (1) Management Trainee may be designated by the Employer in all stores. The designated Management Trainee will not be subject to hours claim. To initially create the position, a forty (40) hour vacancy must occur in the General Clerk classification (i.e., 40 hours out, 40 hours brought in). The Company may then designate the position on the same basis as the Assistant Manager Position. The Management Trainee position will be a full-time General Clerk job. In stores where full-time General Clerks agree to a transfer and the store does not have a Management Trainee, the principle of 40 out for 40 in will apply. When a vacancy exists, employees from other classifications can be promoted. Employees who become Management Trainees will be given a one (1) year training leave. This leave will be granted on a one-time basis only. Should they step down or be demoted within this time, they will be returned to the store and position they were promoted from. Should they exceed the one (1) year leave, they will be subject to the step-down / demotion language ofKey Personnel” above. Management Trainee. This would be a six-year traineeship and these trainees would complete a Bachelor of Business Course part-time. These trainees would do all the same things as the Equipment Operator Trainee for the first three years, and would spend the final three in supervisory type roles. At the end of six years, the trainee would go into a supervisory position if any are available. The trainees would be involved in all aspects of work in our Branch and would not be expected to be a union member during their traineeships. The pay rate applicable would be as follows:- Trainees employed under the terms and conditions of this clause receive weekly rates of pay calculated by using the prescribed percentages of the appropriate Award rate and further adjusting by multiplying by a factor of 0.75 in order to spread weekly payment over the duration of the traineeship as per the following table:- At 20 years of age 90% of appropriate award rate x 0.75 At 19 years of age 80% of appropriate award rate x 0.75 At 18 years of age 75% of appropriate award rate x 0.75 At 17 years of age 70% of appropriate award rate x 0.75
Management Trainee. The Co-operative shall be allowed an out-of-scope position to be used as a Management Trainee. If an in-scope employee applies for and is accepted in this position and it is determined within six (6) months that the employee is unsuitable, the employee will be allowed to revert to the previous position at the same seniority level as when they left.   • Trainee is an individual who is a signatory to a training agreement registered with the relevant State or Territory Training Authority and is involved in paid work and structured training which may be on or off the job. Trainee does not include an individual who already has the competencies to which the traineeship is directed.

  • Master Agreement Training A. The Employer and the Union agree that training for managers, supervisors and union stewards responsible for the day-to-day administration of this Agreement is important. The Union will provide training to current union stewards, and the Employer will provide training to managers and supervisors on this Agreement.

  • Off the Job Training Where it is agreed that an employee undertakes job related training provided by the Employer or by a Third Party, that training may be undertaken either on or off the job. Where courses are available during normal working hours, the employee has first option of attending training at these times. If such training is undertaken during normal working hours, the employee concerned will not suffer any loss of pay. Where the Employer requires an employee to undertake mandatory job related training after hours, single time rates shall apply. Any costs associated with standard fees for prescribed courses and prescribed textbooks (except those textbooks which are available in the Employer's technical library) incurred in connection with the undertaking of training will be reimbursed by the Employer upon production of evidence of such expenditure. Provided that reimbursement will also be on an annual basis subject to the presentation of reports of satisfactory progress. Travel costs incurred by an employee undertaking training in accordance with this clause which exceed those normally incurred in travelling to and from work will be reimbursed by the Employer.

  • Trainees Except as provided in 29 CFR 5.16, trainees will not be permitted to work at less than the predetermined rate for the work performed unless they are employed pursuant to and individually registered in a program which has received prior approval, evidenced by formal certification by the U.S. Department of Labor,

  • Union Training Conditional upon prior approval of the course content and upon receipt of certification of completion, if the employee is an elected official or xxxxxxx of the Union, the City shall reimburse the employee for up to one-half of his or her regular work time spent in such training at the employee's permanent rate of pay, not to exceed twenty (20) hours of paid leave in a calendar year.

  • Staff Training VENDOR shall ensure that all staff providing direct Services receive continuing education and training as needed or required and that such education and training is documented.

  • Classroom Management The certificated classroom teacher demonstrates in his/her performance a competent level of knowledge and skill in organizing the physical and human elements in the educational setting.

  • Education/Training Research

  • Required Training For training that is required by the Agency, manager or supervisor, the Agency shall reimburse one hundred percent (100%) of all related necessary and legitimate expenses, including but not limited to tuition, books, travel expenses, travel time, and attendance time. When practical, the Agency will attempt to adjust the employee’s hours if the approved training activity is scheduled during the employee’s normal work hours.
