Meal Break/Rest Breaks. (i) The actual time at which work is to commence and finish and the times of meal breaks/rest breaks shall be fixed by the employer, and once fixed will not be altered unless one (1) week’s clear notice to the worker is given, provided that such one (1) week’s notice shall not be required if any change of hours and/or the time of meal breaks is by mutual agreement between the employer and worker.

Meal Break/Rest Breaks. All employees working an eight (8) hour a day shift shall have one (1) 30- minute meal break and one (1) 15-minute compensable rest break during the mid-part of the first half of the shift and one (1) 15-minute compensable rest break during the mid-part of the second portion of the shift. The employer retains the right to schedule rest periods to fulfill the operational needs of the various work units.

  • Meal Breaks (a) An employee who works in excess of five hours will be entitled to an unpaid meal break of not less than 30 minutes and not more than 60 minutes.

  • Rest Breaks Employees shall receive a fifteen (15) minute break during each four (4) hours worked. It is the Employer's intention to provide uninterrupted rest breaks.

  • Meal Break a) Employees who work for more than five continuous hours are entitled to an unpaid meal break of 30 minutes each day.

  • Missed Meal Breaks (a) (applicable to full-time employees only) If an employee is authorized to work, during the lunch break, due to the requirements of patient care, he will be paid time and one-half (1½) his regular straight time hourly rate for all time worked in excess of his normal daily hours.

  • Lunch Breaks The lunch break will consist of a one-half hour (or one hour where scheduled) unpaid break taken mid-way during regular work day. In the event that an employee is required to work during his regular lunch period he shall be allowed a one-half hour lunch period between the hours of ll:30 a.m. and l:00 p.m., otherwise he shall be paid double time for working through said lunch period.

  • Tea Breaks (a) Every employee will be entitled to a paid 10 minute tea break in each four hours worked at a time to be agreed between the employee and employer.

  • Coffee Breaks An employee will be allowed a coffee break not in excess of fifteen (15) minutes without loss of pay in the first half shift and a coffee break not in excess of fifteen (15) minutes without loss of pay in the second half shift.

  • Lunch Break Each Teacher shall receive each day an uninterrupted and continuous period of not less than forty (40) minutes for lunch, free from supervisory, teaching or other assigned duties (reference: Regulation 298.s. 3, Daily Sessions).
