Rest Breaks definition

Rest Breaks. Two fifteen minute breaks per eight-hour shift. To be taken at two and six hours after start of shift (exceptions, see emergency road crews below). Break: One 30 minute lunch period per eight hour shift. Lunch breaks to be scheduled four hours after start of shift or within a five hours period if deemed appropriate by department General Xxxxxxx. More Definitions of Rest Breaks

Rest Breaks. A period during the scheduled shift during which the employee remains on continual duty and is responsible for assigned duties. Scheduled Shift – A consecutive work period including rest breaks and a lunch break. Strike – Concerted action in failing to report to duty, the willful absence from one's position, the stoppage of work, slow-down, or abstinence in whole or in part from the full, faithful and proper performance of the duties of employment for the purposes of inducing, influencing or coercing a change in the conditions or compensation or the rights, privileges or obligations of employment. Rest Breaks. Each employee shall be entitled to a total of two daily fifteen (15) minute rest breaks during each work day's work shift. Whenever possible employees shall take rest breaks at their work site where their work is being performed. Supervisors' Operation of Equipment: Street Maintenance Supervisors/Superintendent who are excluded from the bargaining unit shall be permitted to: Operate equipment during the normal working hours to facilitate the operations of the Employer in the areas of training and instructing employees, testing equipment, taking equipment to and from a job site, temporarily filling in for an employee who is temporarily attending to authorized personal needs or business related to employment with the Employer, and operating equipment in emergency situations and during overtime situations when unit members are not available through the normal call-out procedure. It is understood that they will not operate equipment to the detriment of the bargaining unit and, except in a valid emergency, will not do production operating during normal or overtime situations in excess of one (1) hour in any particular shift.
Rest Breaks. For twelve (12) hour shifts, an Employee shall commence and cease his/her shift at the designated stopping time and place. The Employee shall be provided with three (3) paid lunch/rest periods (2 x 15 minutes and 1 x 30 minutes) at the Employee’s designated lunch place between the third (3rd) and fifth (5th), the fifth (5th) and the seventh (7th), and the eighth (8th) and the tenth (10th) hours of the shift. The total lunch/rest period shall not exceed sixty (60) minutes. Flexibility in scheduling rest breaks may be necessary to meet urgent customer needs.
Rest Breaks. All Principal Performers shall have at least five (5) minutes rest during each hour of actual rehearsal and shooting; but if the scene being rehearsed or shot is of a continuing nature, such rest period may be accumulated to be not less than ten (10) minutes during each two (2) hours of such continuing rehearsal or shooting period. If any provision of this section is inconsistent with any other labor law or regulation in the applicable state or other jurisdiction, the more favorable term shall govern.
