Meal Periods for Employees Working Off-Set. Any Employee working off-set shall be responsible for scheduling his/her own meal periods at five (5) hour intervals and shall not incur meal penalties, however: (a) When an off-set Employee is required to work on a nearby location (i.e. outside a Studio Zone) where convenient meal facilities are lacking, then the Employer will furnish meals unless the Employee is notified no later than the night before reporting to work that such facilities are lacking. If the Employer fails to provide such notice to the Employee or to the Union when requesting dispatch, the Employee will be paid a meal allowance of $15.00 on the next regular paycheque. (b) When the Employer furnishes meals to a shooting unit away from any studio facility and an off-production crew is working on the same site at the same time for the same production, the Employer, at its discretion, may furnish meals to the off-production crew.

Meal Periods for Employees Working Off-Set. (a) Off-set Crew are entitled to time off for meals every five (5) hours and shall not incur meal penalties. At the discretion of the Employer in consultation with the Department Head (or Key), the Employer may institute either of the following meal periods: (a) One (1) hour of unpaid time off to consume meals, plus reasonable and adequate travel time to and from place of eating paid as time worked, or, (b) One half (1/2) hour of paid time off to consume meals with no paid travel time. (b) At the discretion of the Employer, any Employee working off-set may be provided with a meal allowance to cover the cost of a meal. (c) Off-set crew shall be provided with the same meal and meal period as the on-set crew when both are working at the same location.
