Paid Travel Time. Employees called out on emergencies are compensated from the time they leave their homes until the time they return to their homes or until their normal shifts begin. Paid travel time shall be limited to actual travel time or thirty (30) minutes each direction, whichever is less.

Paid Travel Time. Travel time from the garage to a relief point while not driving a bus shall be paid ten (10) minutes straight time. Travel time from relief point to the garage while not driving a bus shall be paid ten (10) minutes straight time.
Paid Travel Time a. There shall be a “free zone” identified as seventy (70 km) kilometres from the employee’s residence as determined by Google Maps (resulting kilometres when set for shortest travel route from residence to jobsite). For employees who live more than a fifty (50 km) kilometre radius from the head office or for those employees who drive a company vehicle, the above distance is revised to eighty five (85 km) kilometres. No travel time will be paid to employees when reporting to and from jobs located within the free zone. b. Jobsites determined as a distance greater than seventy (70 km) from the employee’s residence as determined by Google Maps (resulting kilometres when set for shortest travel route from residence to jobsite), shall qualify for paid travel time. For employees who live more than a fifty (50 km) kilometre radius from the head office or for those employees who drive a company vehicle, the above distance is revised to eighty five (85 km) kilometres. Employees shall be paid their regular hourly wage rate for all time spent travelling to the jobsite after the free zone (i.e. 70 km or 85 km). For clarity, each employee is paid travel time only for the portion of daily travel that exceeds the free zone and is only applicable one way. c. The determination of paid time for travel pay shall use Google Maps set for the shortest driving distance to jobsites from the employee’s residence. A proportional amount of time for the distance beyond the free zone (i.e. 70 km or 85 km as applicable) shall be calculated. The resulting time shall be rounded to the nearest quarter hour. d. All time paid as travel time shall not be considered as time worked for the purpose of calculating overtime. All time paid as travel time shall be paid at the regular hourly wage rate.
Paid Travel Time. It is expected that staff members will have reliable transportation and will travel the most direct route. The most direct route will be determined by use of a GPS unit or MapQuest. Mobile Collections Staff (a) Staff are paid for time after one-half (½) hour of departing their home and up to one-half (½) hour prior to returning home from a mobile work site, training event, in-service or meeting called by a supervisor. (b) Travel time is to be taken in five (5) minute increments. (Example: Staff member takes forty (40) minutes to get to work. The staff person will receive ten (10) minutes’ travel time in each direction.) (c) Staff will be paid for exact travel time from a training event, in-service or meeting (called by the supervisor) to the assigned unit. (d) Staff will be paid only for the exact travel time in cases where staff do not go directly to an assignment from a training event, in-service or meeting (called by the supervisor), or where there is a break in time between any of these events and the required start time that is greater than the travel time required. (e) Drivers do not receive travel time to the Region to pick up ARC vehicles. Fixed Site Staff (a) Staff assigned to a designated “home” site will not be reimbursed for travel time. (b) Staff who are assigned to work at a site other than their designated “home” site are paid for time after one-half (½) hour of departing their home and up to one-half (½) hour prior to returning home. (c) Staff who are assigned to their designated “home” site and then are reassigned during the day to another fixed site will be paid for exact travel time between sites and paid travel time up to one- half (½) hour prior to returning home. (d) Staff are paid for time after one-half (½) hour of departing their home and up to one-half (½) hour prior to returning home for a training event, in- service or meeting called by a supervisor, if the event is scheduled at a location that is not their designated “home” site.
Paid Travel Time. (1) Time spent by the employee in travelling between the employee’s usual place of employment and the regional or interstate destination will be counted and remunerated as Ordinary Hours up to a maximum of 8 hours in any 24 hour period ('Paid Travel Time'). (2) Penalty rates and overtime rates do not apply to Paid Travel Time except that if the travel is undertaken on a public holiday, the employee will be entitled to an additional 1.5 Leave Hours or alternatively 150% Loading in respect of that Paid Travel Time (up to the maximum cap of 8 hours). (3) Any Regional or Interstate Travel Time that exceeds 8 hours in any 24 hour period will be unpaid unless otherwise agreed in writing between the Employer and an employee.
Paid Travel Time. When the Employer requires an employee to work on a construction site that is outside of the travel free zone, outlined in Article 15.01 or 15.02, the employee will be paid for all time travelling to and from the project, at the employee’s regular hourly rate of pay. Such time shall not be considered as time worked for the purposes of overtime. All calculations are based on Google Maps, by distance traveled via the fastest route, no tolls.

Travel all in a day’s work: Time spent by an employee in travel as part of the employee’s principal activity, such as travel from job site to job site during the workday, will be counted as hours worked. (29 CFR 785.38) ii. Home to Work special assignment: A non-exempt employee will be paid for time spent traveling to a seminar, training session or work assignment that lasts for a day. Additionally, they will be paid for all time spent at the seminar or training session, or while working on assignment. However, the employee’s normal commute time to work and any meal periods not spent performing work will be deducted. (29 CFR 785.37)

  • Travel Time Leave provided in paragraphs A and B of this Article shall apply to and cover actual and necessary travel to and from such meetings required during normal working hours on the day of the meeting or negotiations, except that MSEA-SEIU bargaining team members traveling 100 miles or more to negotiations shall be entitled to travel time outside of days of negotiations.

  • Paid Time Off (PTO) During the Term, Executive shall be entitled to paid time off in accordance with Company’s policy in place from time to time; provided, however, that Executive shall be eligible to accrue no less than twenty (20) days per calendar year (with such amount prorated for the balance of 2017).

  • Paid Time Off The Executive shall be entitled to take paid time off in accordance with the Company’s applicable paid time off policy for executives, as may be in effect from time to time.

  • Travel Pay Any employee required by the Employer to travel to a place of work other than his/her regular official duty station shall be reimbursed for travel costs, if eligible, in accordance with University policy.

  • Show Up Time An employee who reports to work in the usual manner without having been notified that there is no work available and is sent home because of lack of work before having worked four (4) hours shall receive a minimum of four (4) hours pay at their prevailing hourly rate. The employee shall also receive their full accommodation allowance if and when applicable. Each employee must inform the Employer of a means of being contacted on short notice. If an attempt is made by the Employer at least two (2) hours before the employee’s shift commences by way of the contact information provided, in an effort to inform the employee of a lack of work, and the Employer is unable to do so, the employee will not be entitled to show up time.

  • Prime Time Vacation Period Subject to the provisions of this article, it is the intent of the parties that no employee will be restricted in the time of year they choose to take their vacation. The Employer will make every effort to allow employees to take their vacation during the period of April 15th to October 15th inclusive, which will be defined as the prime time vacation period.
