Nearby Location. For locations outside the boundaries of the Studio Zones where the Employee will not be required to be lodged overnight, the Employer shall provide transportation to and from the location from a marshalling point or points within the Studio Zones. If this transportation is provided, Employees shall be obligated to use it. However, the Employer may, at its discretion, grant an Employee's request to be excused from the obligation to use the transportation provided by the Employer, in which case the Employee's travel shall be at the Employee's own expense and the Employee shall not receive pay for travel time. As an alternative, the Employer may pay each Employee using their own vehicle, thirty-five cents ($0.35) per km for kilometres driven from the nearest Studio Zone limit to the location and then back to the nearest Studio Zone limit.
Nearby Location. Employees requested to report to any production location outside the “production zone” shall be paid travel time and a mileage allowance as described herein, unless the Employer provides transportation. The Employer shall provide transportation to all production locations to all employees who are housed by the Employer.
Nearby Location. Nearby Location is a location outside of the studio zone where any Guild Member works but is not lodged overnight and instead returns to within the studio zone at the end of each work day.
Nearby Location. For work sites outside of the Studio Zone where Employees will not be required to be lodged overnight:
(a) Travel Time shall be calculated as time spent commuting to and from locations beyond the Studio Zone, calculated from the edge of the Studio Zone.
(b) The Employer shall provide quality transportation to and from the work site from a marshalling point(s) within the Studio Zone, which Employees shall be obligated to use. The employer will provide safe and secure, or supervised parking. However, the Employer may, at its discretion, grant an Employee's request to be excused from the obligation to use the transportation provided, in which case the Employee's travel shall be at the Employee's own expense. As an alternative, the Employer may pay each Employee using their own vehicle the mileage rate set out in Article Eight for kilometres driven from the nearest Studio Zone limit to the work site and back to the nearest Studio Zone limit.
(c) Travel time shall not be counted as part of the workday for meal penalty calculations if such travel is for the return trip to the Studio Zone at the end of a workday.
(d) The Employer shall be required to provide overnight accommodations whenever an Employee’s work day on a location outside of the Studio Zone including nearby locations exceeds fourteen (14) hours. The work day, for this purpose, shall include time spent commuting to and from locations beyond the Studio Zone, calculated from the edge of the Studio Zone. Should the Employer not provide overnight accommodations in this instance, then each affected Employee shall be paid an additional three (3) hours pay at the prevailing hourly rate, plus all applicable penalties and fringes, plus a per diem payment of twenty-five dollars ($25.00).
Nearby Location. For locations outside the boundaries of the Studio Zones where the Employee will not be required to be lodged overnight, the Employer shall provide transportation to and from the location from a marshalling point or points within the Studio Zones. If this transportation is provided, Employees shall be obligated to use it.
Nearby Location. (a) A Nearby Location will be a location that falls within a one (1) hour drive starting from the edge of the studio zone. The actual distance and time to a Nearby Location will be determined in ten (10) minute increments by and between the Union Business Manager/Business Agent and the Producer, calculated via the most commonly travelled route. The Producer shall provide the Union with specific information on all locations that are outside of the studio zone no less than three (3) business days prior to the day in which filming will occur.
(b) When working at a Nearby Location, transportation time from the edge of the studio zone to a location and from such location back to the edge of the studio zone will be paid as part of the workday and subject to all premiums, penalties, turnaround and overtime payments, with the exception of Article 9.4, 9.8 (d) and 9.9 (k).
(c) When working at a Nearby Location the Producer shall provide shuttle service between its base of operations or an agreed upon site as determined by the Union business agent and the production manager within the studio zone and the location.
(d) When working at a Nearby Location and the Producer has provided a shuttle service a Technician utilizing that service at wrap shall be considered off the clock provided that the shuttle departs set no more than sixty (60) minutes after the wrap of said Technician.
(e) When the Producer has provided a shuttle, the Technician shall be picked up and dropped off in a well lit area. Upon request, the Technician shall receive an escort to his/her vehicle.
(f) When any workday at a Nearby Location is fourteen (14) hours in duration or longer not including unpaid meal breaks, upon request by a Technician, the Producer will make reservations for and pay the full cost of single occupancy, first class accommodation equivalent to CAA or AAA standards, or will make arrangements to have the affected Technician transported back to designated pick up/drop off point.
(g) When working at a Nearby Location and overnight accommodations are not required the provisions of Article 12.6 shall apply.
(h) When working at a Nearby Location and overnight accommodations are required, the Producer shall provide, in advance, each Technician with meal allowances as follows:
(i) For the first night of accommodations, a dinner allowance as follows, and;
(ii) For each day after accommodations have been provided, meal allowances as follows; Breakfast $10.00 Lunch $15.00 Dinner $25.00 Whe...
Nearby Location. If a location outside of the provincial Home Zone is determined to be a “Nearby Location” by the Union, the Company is relieved of the obligation to provide supper per diem under articles

(a) Studio zone working conditions shall prevail on Nearby Locations.
(b) Work time and travel distance, if applicable, concerning work by any Guild Member on any Nearby Location shall commence when the Guild Member crosses the studio zone boundary and ends at this same point.
(c) Transportation to and from Nearby Locations shall be provided by the Producer. All costs for a taxi, limousine, bus or other transportation which the Guild Member is required by the Producer to use in order to get to and from a Nearby Location shall be paid by the Producer. If the Guild Member is required to use their own personal vehicle for transportation to a Nearby Location the provisions of Article MB11.06
(d) shall apply.
Nearby Location. (a) Studio zone working conditions shall prevail on Nearby Locations.

Nearby Location. (a) For the purpose of this Schedule only, the boundary for the nearby zone shall be fifty kilometers (50 km) from the edge of the declared studio zone or declared production zone as defined in Article AT9.01 (a) and (b).
(b) Studio zone working conditions shall prevail on Nearby Locations.
(c) Work time and travel distance, if applicable, concerning work by any Guild Member on any Nearby Location shall commence when the Guild Member crosses the studio zone boundary and ends at this same point.
(d) Transportation to and from Nearby Locations shall be provided by the Producer. All costs for a taxi, limousine, bus or other transportation which the Guild Member is required by the Producer to use in order to get to and from a Nearby Location shall be paid by the Producer. If the Guild Member is required to use his own personal vehicle for transportation to a Nearby Location or a vehicle is provided by the Producer for use by the Guild Member, the provisions of Article AT9.06 (c) shall apply.
(e) Should a Producer provide a Guild Member with “courtesy accommodations” within the nearby zone, as defined in Article AT9.02 (a), the Distant Location provisions of Article AT9.03 will not apply.
