Military Leave and Notification. In accordance with RCW 38.40.060, employees will be granted twenty-one (21) working dayspaid leave to be used for required military duty or to take part in training, or drills including those in the National Guard or active status. In addition to the twenty-one (21) working days of paid leave granted to employees for active duty or active duty training, unpaid military leave will be granted in accordance with RCW 38.40.060 and applicable federal law. Employees on military leave will be entitled to reinstatement at the end of such service as provided in RCW 73.16 and federal law. Employees will notify the Employer of their twenty-one (21) working days’ active duty training no later than October 31 of each year for the following calendar year. All other military duty dates (to include weekend drills) will be submitted to the Employer upon receipt of such orders. Employees will attempt to schedule the leave on their regular days off.
