Common use of Military Reserve Leave Clause in Contracts

Military Reserve Leave. Regular full-time employees who are members, with active status, of an armed forces reserve unit shall, at their request, be granted a leave of absence for such time as is required to engage in an annual reserve training program. Request for military leave of absence must be accompanied by a written order from the commander of the armed forces reserve unit involved, indicating report and return dates of training period. Upon presentation of proper evidence by the employee, the difference in pay between an employee’s regular pay and military pay will be allowed for a period of not more than 14 scheduled workdays, which need not be consecutive.
