Monitored Use. Electronic mail transmissions and other use of electronic resources by employees shall not be considered confidential and may be monitored at any time by designated staff to ensure appropriate use for instructional and administrative purposes. The Berkshire Hills Regional School District has the right, but not the duty, to monitor any and all aspects of its computer system, including, but not limited to, monitoring sites employees visit on the Internet, monitoring chat groups and newsgroups, reviewing material downloaded or uploaded by employees, and reviewing e-mail sent and received by employees. All information, in any format, stored by any means on the Berkshire Hills Regional School District electronic facilities is the property of the Berkshire Hills Regional School District and subject to inspection at any time without notice. Employees waive any right to privacy in anything they create, store, send or receive on the District’s computer or Internet.

Monitored Use. All technology resources are the property of the school district. The District Technology Department staff may review any technology resource without notification in order to maintain system integrity and to ensure that faculty/staff are using the system responsibly. No one can claim a right to privacy or unrestricted speech in the use of the District’s systems. Public Information or open records requests can be obtained for all records on technology resources including email. Faculty/Staff are NOT permitted to intrude into others’ files. SECURITY – Accounts are never to be shared, and should never be left unattended or open. Users will be required to change passwords regularly. Faculty/Staff will restrict unauthorized disclosure, use, and dissemination of personally identifiable information regarding students.
Monitored Use. All students using Xxxxxxxx-Xxxxxx School’s network are required to login using their assigned domain username and password. Computer use, electronic mail transmissions, and other use of the electronic communication system(s) by students, employees, and any person who is using Xxxxxxxx-Xxxxxx School’s network shall not be considered confidential and may be monitored and/or recorded at any time by designated staff to ensure appropriate use for educational or administrative purposes.

Damaging the Computers I might not be allowed to use the computers if I break these rules. I may have to pay for any damage I cause. I may be suspended or expelled from school if I damage the computers. I have read or have had read to me, understand, and agree to the statements set forth above. I understand that use of educational technology is a privilege and I may be barred from district hardware, software and/or other technology if I do not follow the rules. Monitored Use. JPIIHS technology use by students, faculty, and staff is not private and may be monitored at any time by designated JPIIHS staff to ensure appropriate use. JPIIHS reserves the right to inspect user directories for inappropriate materials or executable files and programs that are unauthorized and may affect the operation of the network. Such files are subject to removal when found. Additionally, JPIIHS reserves the right to monitor access to and use of email, the Internet, or other network or computer-related activities, engage in routine computer maintenance and housekeeping, carry out internal investigations, prepare responses to request for public records, or disclose messages, data, or files to law enforcement or other legal authorities. JPIIHS reserves the right to confiscate and analyze any electronic device that may connect to or utilize JPIIHS network resources.
Monitored Use. I understand that the computers belong to the district and that using them is a privilege, not a right.  I understand that other people may look at the information on my computer, including sites I may visit on the Internet and files I download from the Internet, and I consent to them looking at such information.  I will not copy information or pictures without including the author’s name.  I understand that some things I read on the Internet may not be true.  I will not try to block or get around the filters on the computers.  I will not read, copy, or damage the work of other students.  I will follow the School District 49 Computer, Network and Internet Acceptable Use Agreement.  I might not be allowed to use the school’s computer if I break these rules.
