More than 750 hour bank. Any employee who, as of January 1 of each year, has a sick leave account of more than seven hundred fifty (750) hours shall first have any sick leave used in the immediately preceding payroll year deducted from the sick leave which he/she earned during that year and, as to any remaining unused sick leave from that year, he/she may elect on or before November 30 of each year to be paid for one hundred twenty (120) of those hours. Any unused sick leave hours still remaining from that year shall be added to his/her sick leave account.

  • Workweek A regularly re-occurring period of one hundred and sixty-eight (168) hours consisting of seven (7) consecutive twenty-four (24) hour periods. Workweeks will normally begin at 12:00 a.m. on Sunday and end at 12:00 midnight the following Saturday or as otherwise designated by the appointing authority. If there is a change in their workweek, employees will be given written notification by the appointing authority or their designee.

  • Per Diem Nurse A nurse employed to work on an intermittent basis to supplement the regular work force on a scheduled or unscheduled basis. Per diem nurses will be placed on the schedule when initially posted only to cover for unfilled, posted positions or for absent nurses. They must submit their availability dates by email to their home unit fourteen (14) days in advance of the posting of the schedule. A nurse must remain available, until the schedule has been posted, on the dates of availability the nurse has submitted in accordance with the requirements below.
