National DID. For Customer locations where LightEdge is able to offer local phone numbers through a partner’s point of presence LightEdge will provide Customer with voice connectivity Service between the Customer Premise identified below and the Public Switched Telephone (PSTN) network. Service will be delivered in the form of a dedicated circuit(s) engineered by LightEdge which will be dependent upon location, bandwidth and/or Services requested. Service will typically be delivered to Customer via managed phones. Service will be transported using Voice-over-IP (VoIP) encapsulation. Service will be delivered via Voice-over-Internet Protocol using CODEC g.711 standards. LightEdge will provide administrative access to Customer’s technical contact to easily add, change and delete Users on their Hosted PBX system. LightEdge reserves the right to change or enhance features included with Hosted PBX Seats from time to time. Customer is expected to perform the majority of all Moves, Adds and Changes (MACs) through use of the online administrative portal, Xx.XxxxxXxxx.xxx. These responsibilities are described in detail at the end of this Service Agreement. If the LightEdge support team is consulted to perform a change that is the responsibility of the Customer, a change fee will be assessed. Customer calls will be routed via an IP to PSTN gateway managed by LightEdge Solutions. LightEdge will provide a single local phone number per phone.
National DID. For customer locations where LightEdge is able to offer local phone numbers through a local point of presence LightEdge will provide Customer with voice connectivity Service between the Customer Premise identified below and the Public Switched Telephone (PSTN) network. Service will be delivered in the form of a dedicated circuit(s) engineered by LightEdge which will be dependent upon location, bandwidth and/or Services requested. Service will either be delivered to Customer as a digital PRI, digital voice T1 line or a SIP Trunk. Service will be transported using Voice over IP (VoIP) encapsulation.

  • Certificate of Operating Authority A certification by the State Commission that CLEC has been authorized to operate within the State as a provider of local Telephone Exchange Services within CenturyLink’s local service area; in many states this certification is known as a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity. CIC: An acronym for Carrier Identification Code. CLASS: An acronym for Custom Local Area Signaling Services. CLASS is based on the availability of Common Channel Signaling (CCS). CLASS consists of number- translation services such as call-forwarding and caller identification, available within a local exchange. CLASS is a service mark of Bellcore, now Telcordia. CLEC Profile: A CenturyLink form required to be completed and submitted to CenturyLink by any Telecommunications Carrier requesting to interconnect or exchange traffic with CenturyLink’s network, requesting unbundled access to CenturyLink’s Network Elements, or the ability to initiate any order submission to CenturyLink. Among other things, a Telecommunication Carrier is required to provide CenturyLink, on the CLEC Profile, the following: its Operating Company Number (OCN), Company Code (CC), and Access Carrier Name Abbreviation (ACNA). CLLI Codes: Common Language Location Identifier Codes. Collocation: An arrangement whereby a requesting Telecommunications Carrier may locate equipment necessary for Interconnection or access to Unbundled Network Elements at CenturyLink Central Offices for the purposes of interconnecting with CenturyLink’s network or for accessing CenturyLink’s Unbundled Network Elements pursuant to the Interconnection obligations under the Act as codified in 47 C.F.R. §51. Commingle: The act of Commingling. Commingling: The connecting, attaching, or otherwise linking of an unbundled Network Element, or a combination of unbundled Network Elements, to one or more facilities or services that CLEC has obtained at wholesale from CenturyLink or the combining of an unbundled Network Element, or a combination of unbundled Network Elements with one or more such facilities or services. Commission: The State Public Service or Public Utility Commission, as applicable. Common Channel Signaling (CCS): A high-speed, specialized, packet-switched communications network that is separate (out-of-band) from the public packet-switched and message networks. Company Identifier or Company ID: A three to five (3 to 5) character identifier that distinguishes the entity providing voice service (e.g. wireline, wireless, VoIP, etc.) to the End User. The Company Identifier registry is maintained by NENA in a nationally accessible database. Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC): As defined in 47 U.S.C. §153, authorized to provide Telephone Exchange Services or Exchange Access Services in competition with an ILEC.

  • Public Utility Holding Act None of the Company nor any of its Subsidiaries is a “holding company,” or an “affiliate” of a “holding company,” as such terms are defined in the Public Utility Holding Act of 2005.

  • Child Rearing Leave Subd. 1 Child rearing leave of absences shall be available to teachers for a period of time, not to exceed twelve (12) calendar months, for the purpose of caring for a newborn infant or pre-school adopted child for which the applicant has the legal responsibility for the care and/or support of said child. Such leave may be taken subsequent to birth of the teacher's child, or in the case of adoption, when the child is physically turned over to the teacher-parent. a. At least two (2) calendar months prior to the estimated delivery date of the child, the employee shall be required to notify the Employer in writing whether or not the employee intends to take child rearing leave. This election may be changed at any time before the teacher is no longer disabled from working due to childbirth or pregnancy related disability or before the fifteenth (15th) day after the birth of the child, whichever is sooner. b. Upon filing an application for adoption of a pre-school child, the employee shall be required to notify the Employer, in writing, of the teacher's intention to take a child rearing leave. Such notice to include the estimated date when such leave shall become effective. Subd. 3 In connection with the election to take child rearing leave, the teacher shall submit a request for such leave in writing. Such request shall include an estimated commencement date and return date. The estimated commencement date shall be the physician's projected date the teacher will no longer be disabled from teaching due to childbirth or pregnancy related disability, or in the case of an adoption, the agency's estimated date when the child will be turned over to the parent. Subd. 4 In making the final determination under Subd. 3 concerning the duration of a child rearing leave of absence, the Employer shall not be required to grant a leave of absence in excess of two (2) semesters. The actual commencement date of child rearing leave shall be the date on which the teacher is no longer disabled due to childbirth and pregnancy related disability as determined by the physician; or, in the case of an adoption, the date when the child is physically turned over to the teacher-parent. The return date shall be twelve (12) calendar months following the actual commencement of the leave except as may be provided in Subd. 7.

  • NATIONAL EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS This Agreement will be read and interpreted in conjunction with the National Employment Standards (NES). Where there is an inconsistency between this agreement and the NES, and the NES provides a greater benefit, the NES provision will apply to the extent of the inconsistency.

  • Investment Company; Public Utility Holding Company Neither the Company nor any Subsidiary is an "investment company" or a company "controlled" by an "investment company" within the meaning of the Investment Company Act of 1940, as amended, or a "public utility holding company" within the meaning of the Public Utility Holding Company Act of 1935, as amended.

  • Municipal Pension Plan An employer will provide the Municipal Pension Plan (MPP) to all eligible employees. Employees of record on March 31, 2010, who meet the eligibility requirements of the MPP, have the option of joining or not joining the MPP. Eligible employees who initially elect not to join the MPP on April 1, 2010, have the right to join the MPP at any later date but will not be able to contribute or purchase service for the period waived. All regular full-time employees hired after March 31, 2010, will be enrolled in the MPP upon completion of the earlier of their probationary period or three months and will continue in the plan as a condition of employment. Full-time hours of work are defined in the local issues agreement specific to each employer. Regular part-time employees and casual employees hired after April 1, 2010, who meet the eligibility requirements of the MPP have the right to enrol or not enrol in the MPP. Those who initially decline participation have the right to join the MPP at any later date. The MPP rules currently provide that a person who has completed two years of continuous employment with earnings from an employer of not less than 35% of the year's maximum pensionable earnings in each of two consecutive calendar years will be enrolled in the Plan. This rule will not apply when an eligible employee gives a written waiver to the Employer. Employers will ensure that all new employees are informed of the options available to them under the MPP rules. Eligibility and terms and conditions for the pension will be those contained in the Municipal Pension Plan and associated documents. If there is a conflict between the terms of this agreement and the MPP rules, the MPP must prevail.   • Federation Leave A leave of absence for the president and a second position of the Federation shall be granted to any employee covered by this Agreement upon application by the Federation for the purpose of the employee serving as an officer of the Federation. The District shall continue to pay such employee(s) and provide benefits, with the exception of leave benefits, but will be reimbursed by the Federation for the cost of salary and fringe benefits. Upon return from such leaves, an employee shall proceed on the salary schedule as if s/he had been employed with the District each year of the leave. The Federation agrees to consider carefully each request for release time for Federation members. Although leaves for short terms without loss of pay may be granted upon approval by the Office of the Superintendent, the Federation shall reimburse the District for the cost of salaries and fringe benefits.
