Common use of NO STRIKE AND NO LOCKOUT Clause in Contracts

NO STRIKE AND NO LOCKOUT. 4 No employee covered by this Agreement shall engage in any work stoppage, 5 slowdown, picketing, or strike at any County facility or place where County functions 6 are performed during the life and duration of this Agreement. If any such work 7 stoppage, slowdown, picketing, or strike shall take place, the Association will 8 immediately notify such employees so engaging in such activities to cease and 9 desist, and it shall publicly declare that such work stoppage, slowdown, picketing, or 10 strike is in violation of this contract. Employees in the bargaining unit, while acting in 11 the course of their employment, shall not refuse to cross any picket line established 12 by any labor organization when called upon to cross such picket line in the line of

If any such work 7 stoppage, slowdown, picketing, or strike shall take takes place, the Association will 8 immediately notify 8 such employees so engaging in such activities to cease and 9 desist, and it shall 9 publicly declare that such work stoppage, slowdown, picketing, or 10 strike is in violation of this 10 contract and unauthorized, and otherwise use all reasonable efforts and means to 11 prevent a continued violation of this contract. Employees in the bargaining unit, while 12 acting in 11 the course of their employment, shall not refuse to cross any picket line 13 established 12 by any labor organization when called upon organization. Any employee engaging in any activity in 14 violation of this Article shall be subject to cross such picket line in immediate disciplinary action, including 15 discharge, by the line ofCounty.
