Section 42.1 No Strike It is understood and agreed that the services performed by employees covered in this Agreement are essential to the public health, safety, and welfare. The Union, therefore agrees, that it will not authorize, instigate, aid, condone, or engage in any strike, work stoppage, slowdown, or other interference with the operation of the District. In the event of a violation of this section, the Union agrees to take affirmative steps with the employees concerned, such as letters, bulletins, telegrams, employee meetings, and public denouncement of any violations to bring about immediate resumption of normal work.
