Common use of Non-teaching Assignments Clause in Contracts

Non-teaching Assignments. For non-teaching assignments, (35 or 40 hours/week) a unit member’s sick leave will be charged for missed contract work hours, rounded to the nearest quarter (.25) hour in fifteen (15) minute increments. The hours shall be calculated by determining the exact number of minutes missed, deducting the full hours and then using the chart in section 6.1.4.1 to round to the nearest quarter hour. Example: A non-teaching faculty member misses one day due to illness. On the missed day, the faculty member was scheduled to work from 8:00
