Notification and Request for Parental Leave. An employee shall give written notice to human resources, per procedure outlined on the School District’s website, requesting a parental leave of absence at least three (3) calendar months before the beginning of the requested leave or within 24 hours of receipt of notice of the arrival of an adopted child, if notice is received less than three (3) calendar months before the leave start date.

  • Late Application for Parental Leave When an application for parental leave under subarticle (A) above is not made in accordance with subarticle (b), the employee is nonetheless entitled to, and upon application to the Employer shall be granted, parental leave under this article for the portion of the leave period that remains at the time the application is made.

  • Maternity Adoption and Parental Leave The following in part reflects the provisions of the Employment Standards Act on these matters. In all cases of dispute, and where the Act as amended from time to time is superior, the provisions of the Act will prevail.
