Occupancy and Guests. (A) If it is necessary for the Department of Residence Services to make an assignment to a vacant space in an apartment, every effort will be made to provide you with notice of the new occupant’s arrival. Although the Department of Residence Services will make every effort to provide advance notice, any vacant space may be assigned to another individual selected by the Department of Residence Services without prior notification to you or any other student sharing the apartment. You agree that you will not interfere with any new occupant’s use or enjoyment of the assigned space or common areas.

Occupancy and Guests. (A) If it is necessary for the Department of Residence Services to make an assignment to a vacant space in an apartment, every effort will be made to provide the tenant(s) in the apartment with notice of the new tenant’s arrival. Although the Department of Residence Services will make every effort to provide advance notice, any vacant space may be assigned to another individual selected by the Department of Residence Services without prior notification to you or any other student sharing the apartment. By signing this license you agree that you will not interfere with any new occupant’s use or enjoyment of the assigned space or common areas. (B) You may not transfer or assign any rights that you may have under this license to any other person. Any attempt to do so is null and void and gives the Department of Residence Services the right to terminate this license immediately. (C) Day or overnight guests may visit you provided that you are in attendance for the duration of the guests stay and have the consent of others sharing your apartment and the Department of Residence Services, as governed by residence policies. (D) You are responsible for insuring that the conduct of your guest(s) does not violate NYU School of Law Housing or University policies and that your guests do not infringe upon the rights of other residents.
Occupancy and Guests. Your unit is to be used solely as a private dwelling and it is to be your only dwelling. The only persons allowed to reside in the unit must be listed on the lease agreement as occupants. Occupancy is considered as residing in the unit three days or more in any one-­‐month period. Any person residing in the unit after midnight is considered an overnight guest. You can only have one (1) overnight guest up to three (3) times total in any one-­‐month period. If a guest shows up after midnight and enters the unit, they are considered an overnight guest. If you are going to have company for longer than three (3) days/nights, you must get prior permission from Property Management. If you are going to have a person in your unit for a substantial amount of time such as a baby-­‐sitter, you must notify Property Management in writing. You may not sublet the unit. Tenants are responsible for their guests and their guest’s actions. Guests are not allowed to be in common areas without the tenant that is responsible for them. Violation of these provisions may result in eviction. All tenants listed on the lease agreement are responsible for their actions. Their negative actions may result in the eviction of the entire household. These guest rules also apply to Foreign Exchange Students. IF A TENANT RECEIVES A NOTICE OF TERMINATION FOR HAVING AN UNAUTHORIZED GUEST THE TENANT WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ADD THE UNAUTHORIZED GUEST TO THEIR LEASE. ANY REQUESTS TO ADD A PERSON TO THE LEASE MUST BE MADE, PROCESSED AND APPROVED PRIOR TO THE PERSON RESIDING IN THE UNIT. TENANTS MUST CONTINUE TO FOLLOW THE RULES REGARDING THE LENGTH OF TIME A GUEST MAY STAY WHEN THEY ARE ADDING SOMEONE TO THEIR LEASE. TENANT COMPLAINTS: The process for tenant complaints will be as follows:

  • OCCUPANCY AND USE Continuously from the Commencement Date, to use and occupy the Premises only for the Permitted Uses; not to injure or deface the Premises, Building, or Lot; and not to permit in the Premises any use thereof which is improper, offensive, contrary to law or ordinances, or liable to create a nuisance or to invalidate or increase the premiums for any insurance on the Building or its contents or liable to render necessary any alteration or addition to the Building; not to dump, flush, or in any way introduce any hazardous substances or any other toxic substances into the septic, sewage or other waste disposal system serving the Premises, not to generate, store or dispose of hazardous substances in or on the Premises or dispose of hazardous substances from the Premises to any other location without the prior written consent of Landlord and then only in compliance with the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act of 1976, as amended, 42 U.S.C. (S) 6901 et seq., and all other applicable laws, ordinances and regulations; to notify Landlord of any incident which would require the filing of a notice under applicable federal, state, or local law; not to store or dispose of hazardous substances on the Premises without first submitting to Landlord a list of all such hazardous substances and all permits required therefor and thereafter providing to Landlord on an annual basis Tenant's certification that all such permits have been renewed with copies of such renewed permits; and to comply with the orders and regulations of all governmental authorities with respect to zoning, building, fire, health, and other codes, regulations, ordinances or laws applicable to the Premises. "Hazardous substances" as used in this paragraph shall mean "hazardous substances" as defined in the Comprehensive Environmental Response Compensation and Liability Act of 1980, as amended, 42 U.S.C. (S) 9601 and regulations adopted pursuant to said Act.
