Common use of Occupational Illness or Injury Clause in Contracts

Occupational Illness or Injury. 13.1.11.1 Employees who sustain an injury or illness compensable by Xxxxxx's Compensation, and who are unable to perform their regular duties, will be paid the difference between their regular salary and their compensation insurance benefits for the total lost time for a period up to their accumulated sick leave; provided, however, employees who have accumulated more than thirty (30) days sick leave at the time the leave begins shall have the option of not receiving sick leave pay after they have received thirty (30) days sick leave pay according to this section.
