The Association may select as many as five (5) members of the Association to attend during regular duty or work hours without loss of compensation, meetings scheduled with the Civil Service Commission, the Department of Human Resources, the Director of Employee Relations, or designee, when such meetings have been scheduled for the purpose of meeting and conferring on matters within the scope of representation affecting such appropriate unit, and to participate in the discussions, deliberations, and decisions at such meetings. 19. Release time shall be provided for MEA representatives to participate in disciplinary meetings, grievance meetings, meet and confer sessions and other labor relations matters with the City. Release time shall not be withheld unreasonably. 20. In scheduling meetings, reasonable consideration shall be given to the operating needs and work schedules of the particular employee's and representatives' department(s). 21. No representative may leave the duty or work station without specific approval of his supervisor. 22. Representatives shall be responsible for the performance of their work load consistent with release time approved pursuant to rules established herein.
Official Time Duty time that is granted to representatives on behalf of the exclusive representative to perform representational functions without loss of pay or charge to an employee’s leave account. Official time will not be granted for internal union business, as defined by 5 USC 7131(b).
Official Language The official language of this Agreement is the English language only, which language shall be controlling in all respects, and all versions of this Agreement in any other language shall not be binding on the parties hereto or nor shall such other versions be admissible in any legal proceeding, including arbitration, brought under this Agreement. All communications and notices to be made or given pursuant to this Agreement shall be in the English language.
Judicial Leave In the event an employee is summoned to serve as a juror, or required to appear as a witness in court for the District, or is named as a co-defendant with the District, the employee will be granted leave with pay for each day of required presence in court; provided, however, that any compensation received for service shall be remitted to the District.
Official Record The Seller agrees that this Agreement is and shall remain at all times before the time at which this Agreement terminates an official record of the Seller as referred to in Section 13(e) of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
School Official For the purposes of this DPA and pursuant to 34 CFR § 99.31(b), a School Official is a contractor that: (1) Performs an institutional service or function for which the agency or institution would otherwise use employees; (2) Is under the direct control of the agency or institution with respect to the use and maintenance of Student Data including Education Records; and (3) Is subject to 34 CFR § 99.33
OFFICIAL SECRETS ACTS The Contractor undertakes to abide and procure that the Contractor’s employees abide by the provisions of the Official Secrets Acts 1911 to 1989.
School Official Designation Pursuant to Article I, Paragraph 1 of the DPA Standard Clauses, and in accordance with FERPA, ISSRA and SOPPA, in performing its obligations under the DPA, the Provider is acting as a school official with legitimate educational interest; is performing an institutional service or function for which the LEA would otherwise use its own employees; is under the direct control of the LEA with respect to the use and maintenance of Student Data; and is using Student Data only for an authorized purpose and in furtherance of such legitimate educational interest.
Publicity, Media and Official Enquiries 22.1 Without prejudice to the Authority’s obligations under the FOIA, neither Party shall make any press announcements or publicise the Contract or any part thereof in any way, except with the written consent of the other Party. 22.2 Both Parties shall take reasonable steps to ensure that their Personnel comply with clause 22.1.
Official Languages (a) Appointments and transfers shall be subject to the Corporate Official Languages Policy, as it may be amended from time to time. (b) The parties agree to study the feasibility of developing a program to facilitate the exchange of employees who wish to improve their proficiency in the other official language.
