Official Laboratories. Samples taken during official controls and other official activities shall be analysed or tested in designated official laboratories. The list of official laboratories is published on the FSAI website. The Veterinary Food Safety Laboratory (VFSL) shall function as an ‘official laboratory’ as defined in Regulation (EU) 2017/625 and as per procedures agreed with the Authority. The official laboratory shall co-operate as relevant with the National Reference Laboratories in the discharge of their functions under Articles 100 and 101 of Regulation (EU) 2017/625 and as agreed with the Authority. The official laboratory shall participate in audits for the purposes of Article 39 of Regulation (EU) 2017/625.

The Food Safety Laboratory Service will participate in audits for the purposes of Article 39 of Regulation (EU) 2017/625. Where laboratories external to the Food Safety Laboratory Service perform analysis and testing of samples taken as part of official controls and/or other official activities the Official Agency and/or the Authority, as relevant, will ensure that this is done in accordance with Regulation 2017/625. The Official Agency shall work with the Authority in the discharge of the Authority’s functions for designated Official laboratories, in accordance with Articles 37(3), 38(3) and (4), 39(1), 42(2)(c) of Regulation (EU) 2017/625 and S.I. No. 79 of 2020.

  • Official Language 1. All proceedings pursuant to this Agreement shall be conducted in the English language. 2. Any document submitted for use in any proceedings pursuant to this Agreement shall be in the English language. If any original document is not in the English language, a Party submitting it for use in the proceedings pursuant to this Agreement shall provide an English translation of that document.

  • Union Officials 1. The Union will notify the Company in writing of the election, appointment, or removal of Union shop xxxxxxx(s). The District Lodge will notify the Company in writing of the Committee members at that location. 2. Effective upon the Date of Signing of this Agreement, the Company will assume the cost of a total of 150,000 hours of straight-time pay per year, to be used by shop stewards and other employees authorized by the Union for the purpose of administration of this Agreement and all other collective bargaining agreements between the Union and the Company. a. Shop stewards and other employees authorized by District Lodge 141 must give prior notice and report all time spent on Union business to the designated management representative. b. The Union will apportion the total annual allotment of 150,000 hours among the Company collective bargaining agreements it administers. In the event of an increase or reduction in the number of such agreements, the parties will meet to discuss and agree upon a proportionate adjustment in the hours allotment. 3. The parties will work with each other in good faith to ensure both that: (1) employees are reasonably represented in grievances and (2) the Company’s operation continues without undue delay. 4. The Union will provide the Company with the names, addresses, and phone numbers of its official Union Representatives. 5. The Company will provide the Union a reasonable amount of time as needed (not to exceed 2 hours) to participate in new-hire orientation for employees covered under this Agreement. 6. If requested by the Union and agreed to by the Company, Local Committeemen may be assigned to the Day Shift and to Saturday and Sunday as regular days off. In the event a significant dispute arises and remains unresolved it may be escalated to the level of AGC and HR at that station and, if not resolved, to the VP of Labor Relations and the President and Directing General Chairman.

  • Department of Transportation Bridge Maintenance employees, when actually climbing the cable stays of the Penobscot Narrows Bridge for inspection and/or repair, shall be compensated at the rate of ten dollars ($10.00) an hour in addition to their regular hourly rate of pay. Employees shall be compensated for a minimum of one (1) hour of such work regardless of the length of the climbing assignment.

  • Department Heads Department heads shall normally be tenured and hold the rank of Associate Professor or Professor in one of the departments to be served, unless mutually agreed to by the departmental faculty and administration. 3.1.2.1 When it becomes known that a department head position will become vacant, or if the department head position has already become vacant, or if a new department is created, the xxxx of the college shall meet with the department faculty within two (2) weeks to discuss qualifications and expectations for the position. Specific guidelines will be formulated which may include: a. Whether internal and/or external candidates shall be considered b. Desired qualifications, including rank c. Budgetary considerations d. The target number of recommended candidates that will be submitted to the xxxx for consideration 3.1.2.1.1 Following the discussion described in 3.1.2.1, the department faculty shall communicate their recommendations within two (2) weeks to the xxxx. The xxxx shall promptly confirm or modify the department faculty’s recommendations and communicate the guidelines and procedures in choosing the new department head. 3.1.2.2 The department faculty will formulate its recommendation(s) among all candidates and forward same to the xxxx, with supporting rationale. When the department faculty is able to find more than one (1) acceptable candidate, the department may rank order its list of acceptable candidates and give reasons for its ranking. If the department is able to find only one (1) acceptable candidate, it shall recommend that candidate. If the department faculty does not find an acceptable candidate, the search will be ended. The xxxx will review the departmental recommendation(s) with the PVPAA. If the department’s recommendation(s) is approved by the PVPAA, the PVPAA shall recommend the appointment of the candidate to the President of the University. If the University does not accept the recommended candidate(s), the University has the right to declare the search process has ended. 3.1.2.3 In the event a department head position is not filled in a timely fashion through the preceding procedures, the Board may appoint a department head for a period not to exceed one (1) year.
