Ongoing Program and Staff Development. Commerce highly encourages grantees/subgrantees to participate in ongoing program and staff development opportunities to improve person-centered, culturally competent practices designed to improve the experiences of those facing the greatest impacts of housing instability and homelessness. The following trainings/opportunities are recommended: 🗸 Crisis intervention �� Racial Equity 🗸 Cultural competency 🗸 LGBTQ+ competency 🗸 Introduction to person-centered care 🗸 Trauma Informed Care 🗸 Mental health First Aid 🗸 Training on the SAMHSA Model of Permanent supportive housing 🗸 Motivational Interviewing 🗸 Supporting survivors of intimate partner violence and child abuse 🗸 Supporting special needs populations with co-occurring behavioral health conditions (including IDD, cognitive impairments, and TBIs) 🗸 Fair Housing 🗸 Housing First 🗸 Progressive Engagement and Problem-Solving (Diversion) 🗸 Professional boundaries 🗸 Trainings on handling secondary or vicarious trauma and professional burnout 🗸 Program evaluation and fidelity training In addition, lead/subgrantee staff are highly encouraged to attend the annual Washington State Conference on Ending Homelessness and other professional conferences on behavioral health and housing.

  • Staff Development ‌ The County and the Association agree that the County retains full authority to determine training needs, resources that can be made available, and the method of payment for training authorized by the County. Nothing in this subsection shall preclude the right of an employee to request specific training.

  • Program Development NWESD agrees that priority in the development of new applications services by XXXXX shall be in accordance with the expressed direction of the XXXXX Board of Directors operating under their bylaws.

  • Independent Development Receiving Party may currently or in the future be developing information internally, or receiving information internally, or receiving information from other parties that may be similar to the Disclosing Party's Confidential Information.
