Online Application Process. 14.1. The Union concurs with the District’s efforts to streamline the employment application process. It is understood by the parties that in order to enhance and support the application process for bargaining unit employees the District will provide for: 14.1.1. The opportunity for employees to have assistance from qualified staff to access the District’s computer systems to properly and efficiently apply for vacant positions. 14.1.2. Provide for the submissions of job applications during the Employeesnormal work hours. 14.1.3. Provide for assistance to employees with insufficient writing and English language skills. 14.1.4. Provide acknowledgement (confirmation), via paper copy, of the application submission for a vacant position. 14.1.5. In the event the system is down, the employee will have an opportunity to reapply for the vacant position(s) and shall suffer no loss of placement in the application process. 14.1.6. Custodians will be provided use of a computer to access APS systems and training modules.
