Overtime/Compensatory Time Off. 1. Hours worked beyond eight (8) hours in a day or forty (40) hours in a week shall be considered overtime. Compensation shall be at one and one-half (1 ½) times the regular rate of pay. 2. For employees assigned and in paid status four (4) or more hours per day, compensation for all hours worked on the sixth or seventh consecutive day shall be one and one-half (1 ½ ) times the regular rate of pay. Unauthorized overtime could be grounds for disciplinary action. 4. When compensatory time off is authorized by the District, in lieu of cash compensation, such compensatory time off will be granted within the fiscal year earned provided services rendered to the District are not impaired. 5. Compensatory time earned will be recorded at the appropriate rate of pay as recorded in this contract. Employees shall record actual hours worked on a time sheet and indicate comp time in lieu of pay. In the event of overtime, the Payroll Department will convert hours to appropriate overtime calculation for comp time. (i.e.) two (2) overtime hours worked will be recorded as the equivalent of three (3) hours regular time. 6. If the authorized compensatory time is not utilized within the fiscal year accrued, all compensatory time balances will be paid to the employee at the end of the fiscal year, no later than July 10th. Compensatory time may not be accrued after April 1st. After April 1st, all overtime will be paid at the appropriate rate for the remainder of the fiscal year. 7. Compensatory time records will be kept at the District Office. All compensatory time will be turned into the District Office monthly. The employee shall be responsible for completing an absence sheet upon returning.

Overtime/Compensatory Time Off. 1. Hours 11.1 Overtime is defined to include any District-authorized time required to be worked beyond in excess of eight (8) hours in a any one day or any time in excess of forty (40) hours in a week any workweek.
11.1.1 Except as otherwise provided herein, all assigned overtime hours as defined in this Article shall be considered overtime. Compensation shall be compensated at a rate of pay equal to one and one-one half (1 ½) times the regular base rate of paypay of the unit member. Unit members may not extend their regularly scheduled hours into overtime without the prior knowledge and approval of their immediate supervisor.
2. For employees assigned and 11.1.2 Overtime is defined to include any time worked in paid status four excess of eight (4) or more 8) hours per in any one day, compensation for all or on any one shift, or in excess of forty (40) hours in any calendar week.
11.1.3 Overtime may be worked prior to the regularly assigned starting time or subsequent to the assigned quitting time or as otherwise defined in Education Code sections 45128, 45129 and 45131.
11.1.4 All hours worked beyond the work week of five (5) consecutive days shall be compensated at the overtime rate commencing on the sixth or seventh consecutive (6th) day of work.
11.1.5 Overtime shall be one distributed and one-half rotated as equally as practical among qualified unit members within each appropriate department.
11.2 C ompensatory Time Off (1 ½ CTO): Unit members shall have the option to elect to take compensatory time off in lieu of cash compensation for overtime work with the written approval of the supervisor. Such election shall be submitted in writing to the immediate supervisor within five (5) times working days following the regular day the overtime is worked.
11.2.1 Compensatory time off shall be granted at the appropriate rate of pay. For employees assigned and in paid status for less than four (4) hours per day, compensation for all hours worked on the seventh consecutive day shall be one and one-half (1 ½) times the regular rate of payovertime.

Overtime/Compensatory Time Off. 14.2.1 Full-time unit employees who are required by their immediate supervisor or administrator designee to work overtime shall be compensated at one and one-half the employee's regular rate for each half hour of work in excess of an eight (8) hour work day and in excess of forty (40) hours in any calendar week, whether such hours are worked prior to the commencement of a regular assigned starting time or subsequent to the assigned quitting time. Hours worked beyond Compensatory time off in-lieu of payment shall be by mutual agreement between the District representative and the bargaining unit employee working the additional hours prior to the additional hours being worked.
4.2.2 Overtime and/or compensatory time shall be granted only upon prior authorization of the Superintendent or designee.
4.2.3 Except as provided elsewhere in this section, part-time unit employees shall be eligible for overtime only if required to work in excess of eight (8) hours in a day or forty (40) hours in a regular work week of five (5) consecutive days.
4.2.4 A part-time unit employee having a regular work day of four (4) hours or more of duty during a work week shall be considered overtime. Compensation shall compensated for any work required to be performed on the sixth (6th) or seventh (7th) day following the commencement of the employee's regular work week at a rate equal to one and one-half (1 ½) times the his/her regular rate of pay.

34.2.6 The District shall distribute and rotate overtime among qualified unit employees within a classification at each work site. All The District shall include qualified unit employees within a classification at Xxxxxx Continuation, District Office, and CVISS/CDS in the rotation of overtime must hours at Lawndale High School for any and all extracurricular activities or events. 4.2.6.1 A unit employee who cannot accept an overtime assignment shall not waive his/her right under this section to be preoffered any subsequent overtime assignment.

Any overtime worked must be compensated by compensatory time or wages. Compensatory time increased in hours on a regular basis, unit employees within the classification with the greatest bargaining unit seniority and necessary qualifications shall be accrued at considered for the appropriate overtime rate.
