Common use of Paid Education Leave (PEL Clause in Contracts

Paid Education Leave (PEL. The Employer agrees to pay into a special fund 2 cents per hour per Employee for all compensated hours for the purpose of providing paid education leave. Such leave will be for upgrading Employee skills in all aspects of trade union functions. Such monies to be paid on a quarterly basis into a trust fund established by the National Union, CAW, effective from the date of ratification, and sent by the Employer to the following address:
