Effective date of ratification. Unless specified otherwise, all provisions of this Agreement are effective August 30, 2023 up to August 29, 2026. The parties agree to exclude the operation of the provisions of Sections 50 (2) and (3) of the Labour Relations Code.
Effective date of ratification of the 2018-20 local Memorandum of Agreement, all provisions of this collective agreement shall be read to be gender neutral.
Effective date of ratification. Where legitimate unforeseen circumstances arise that necessitate the employee work beyond their scheduled hours, without an opportunity to obtain prior authorization, the employee shall document same on their time sheet to substantiate the reason for the additional work. Payment for the additional work, at the appropriate rate of pay, shall not be unreasonably denied.
Effective date of ratification. Where an HCA 1, HCA 2, HSW is unable to work due to a leave of absence of any kind (whether paid or unpaid), the Employer is only responsible for fulfilling the EFT commitment that is scheduled on the remaining scheduled work days within that pay period. Should an employee have a partial day leave of absence, their EFT for that day shall only be reduced by the period of time that they were unavailable due to the absence.
Effective date of ratification all new Department Head and Assistant Department Head positions are for a three-year term. An incumbent may re-apply for a position of responsibility at the end of a three-year term. Any leave taken during the term of the position will be considered as part of the term of the position. An incumbent that re-applies for a position of responsibility and is not re-appointed to the position will, upon written request, be provided with the reasons, in writing, for not being re-appointed to the position. At the time of ratification, all existing Heads and Assistant Heads shall be grand-parented in their position of responsibility until June 30, 2015.
Effective date of ratification each Eligible Employee covered by this collective agreement shall contribute from each pay period an amount equal to two percent (2%) of Applicable Wages to the Plan. The employer shall contribute on behalf of each Eligible Employee for each pay period, an amount equal to two percent (2%) of Applicable Wages to Plan.
Effective date of ratification each employee shall receive a Community Allowance of Seven Thousand Seven Hundred and Thirty One dollars and Forty- nine cents ($7731.49) per year.

Effective date of ratification all new employees shall as a condition of employment be enrolled in the Ontario Municipal Employees’ Retirement System on the first day of employment in accordance with the provisions of the OMERS Act. Employees not enrolled will be given the option to enroll in OMERS within 60 days of ratification.
Effective date of ratification. A working* day, for the purposes of this Collective Agreement, shall be defined by a bargaining unit Employer as the actual hours paid to an employee on any working* day in accordance with Articles 7.01 and 7.02.
Effective date of ratification. The Employer shall pay for all Employees the amount of Two Hundred ($200.00) dollars a month travel subsidy. Employees will begin to receive monies after working the first fifteen (15) days and every month thereafter.
