Paid holidays to be observed. New Years Day Civic Holiday Christmas Day Good Friday Labour Day Boxing Day Canada Day Thanksgiving Day Victoria Day Family Day 9 Each calendar year two (2) personal holidays may be observed on a calendar year basis. An employee will notify his Supervisor at least five (5) working days in advance of the paid day he wishes to have off. If too many employees choose the same day, then seniority will govern. Anyone wishing to have Remembrance Day off as their personal holiday will be guaranteed that day off.

  • Weekend Holidays 9.3.1. A full-time employee who works a Monday through Friday schedule and the calendar holiday falls on a Saturday, the employee shall be allowed the preceding day off. When a holiday falls on a Sunday, the employee shall be allowed the following day off. If the employee works the day preceding or following such a holiday, he/she shall be given another workday off with pay or shall receive payment for that day at the regular rate.
