PAID SICK LEAVE FOR FEDERAL CONTRACTORS a. This contract is subject to Executive Order (EO) 13706 and to the regulations issued by the Secretary of Labor pursuant thereto at 29 CFR part 13 (Establishing Paid Sick Leave for Federal Contractors). 29 CFR part 13, Appendix A, is hereby incorporated by reference, having the same force and effect as if set forth in full in this contract. The Contractor shall establish a sick leave policy in full compliance with the applicable provisions of EO 13706 and 29 CFR part 13. c. This clause applies to all subcontracts where EO 13706 and 29 CFR part 13 apply to the prime contract. Accordingly, the Contractor is responsible for subcontractor compliance with EO 13706, 29 CFR part 13, and the requirements of this clause. The Contractor shall include this clause, including this paragraph, in all subcontracts where applicable. d. The Contractor may be subject to penalties for noncompliance as described in 29 CFR §13.44.
PAID SICK LEAVE FOR FEDERAL CONTRACTORSThe parties recognize that the Federal Government is in the process of implementing paid sick leave for federal contractors under pending Executive Order 13706. If and when such regulations are implemented, and the Company makes changes to its sick leave policies for non-bargaining unit employees in order to comply with these regulations, such changes will be implemented to the bargaining unit employees on the same terms and conditions both during the term of the CBA and after its expiration. These changes if implemented will supersede any current sick leave benefits provided to bargaining unit employees.

  • Employee Entitlements while on Worker’s Compensation If an Employee is absent from work and is in receipt of worker’s compensation, the Employee’s contract of employment shall remain intact during the period of absence, the Employer shall continue to make contributions on behalf of the Employee to all the Employee Entitlement Funds as outlined in clauses 20 to 23 (inclusive) of this Agreement. The Employee shall also continue to accrue all appropriate leave entitlements for the entire period for which worker’s compensation is in receipt.

  • Special Parental Allowance for Totally Disabled Employees (a) An employee who: (i) fails to satisfy the eligibility requirement specified in subparagraph 17.05(a)(ii) solely because a concurrent entitlement to benefits under the Disability Insurance (DI) Plan, the Long-term Disability (LTD) Insurance portion of the Public Service Management Insurance Plan (PSMIP) or via the Government Employees Compensation Act prevents the employee from receiving Employment Insurance or Québec Parental Insurance Plan benefits, and (ii) has satisfied all of the other eligibility criteria specified in paragraph 17.05(a), other than those specified in sections (A) and (B) of subparagraph 17.05(a)(iii), shall be paid, in respect of each week of benefits under the parental allowance not received for the reason described in subparagraph (i), the difference between ninety-three per cent (93%) of the employee's rate of pay and the gross amount of his or her weekly disability benefit under the DI Plan, the LTD Plan or via the Government Employees Compensation Act. (b) An employee shall be paid an allowance under this clause and under clause 17.05 for a combined period of no more than the number of weeks during which the employee would have been eligible for parental, paternity or adoption benefits under the Employment Insurance or Québec Parental Insurance Plan, had the employee not been disqualified from Employment Insurance or Québec Parental Insurance Plan benefits for the reasons described in subparagraph (a)(i).

  • Special Maternity Allowance for Totally Disabled Employees (a) An employee who: (i) fails to satisfy the eligibility requirement specified in subparagraph 17.02(a)(ii) solely because a concurrent entitlement to benefits under the Disability Insurance (DI) Plan, the Long term Disability (LTD) Insurance portion of the Public Service Management Insurance Plan (PSMIP) or the Government Employees Compensation Act prevents her from receiving Employment Insurance or Québec Parental Insurance Plan maternity benefits, and (ii) has satisfied all of the other eligibility criteria specified in paragraph 17.02(a), other than those specified in sections (A) and (B) of subparagraph 17.02(a)(iii), shall be paid, in respect of each week of maternity allowance not received for the reason described in subparagraph (i), the difference between ninety-three per cent (93%) of her weekly rate of pay and the gross amount of her weekly disability benefit under the DI Plan, the LTD Plan or via the Government Employees Compensation Act. (b) An employee shall be paid an allowance under this clause and under clause 17.02 for a combined period of no more than the number of weeks during which she would have been eligible for maternity benefits under the Employment Insurance or Québec Parental Insurance Plan had she not been disqualified from Employment Insurance or Québec Parental Insurance maternity benefits for the reasons described in subparagraph (a)(i).
