Common use of Parental Clause in Contracts

Parental. Upon written request to the Appointing Authority, an employee shall, after birth of his/her child or upon adoption of a child, be granted a parental leave of up to one (1) year with the option of up to an additional one (1) year extension. The employee may return early from such leave upon 30 days prior notice to the Appointing Authority.
