Common use of Pay for Work on Holiday Clause in Contracts

Pay for Work on Holiday. An employee required to work on a holiday named in Section shall be paid two (2) times his regular straight time hourly rate for all work performed in addition to any holiday pay allowance under Holiday Pay Allowance. In the event that one or more of the above-named holidays occurs during the employee’s vacation, he shall be paid for such and the additional days will be added to his vacation time. The observance of the above holidays may be transferred by mutual agreement to other days than the date proclaimed or provided above.

An employee required Employees scheduled to work on a designated holiday named in Section shall be paid two at a rate of one and one-half (21 %) times his their regular straight time hourly rate for all work performed in addition to any holiday pay allowance under Holiday Pay Allowance. In the event that one or more of the above-named holidays occurs during the employee’s vacation, he shall be paid for such and the additional days will be added to his vacation time. The observance of the above holidays may be transferred by mutual agreement to other days than the date proclaimed or provided aboveas listed in 9.03.

Pay for Work on Holiday. An employee required to work on a holiday named in Section 20.01 shall be paid two one and one half (21.5) times his regular straight time hourly rate for all work performed in addition to any holiday pay allowance under Holiday Pay Allowance. In the event that one or more of the above-named holidays occurs during the employee’s vacation, he shall be paid for such and the additional days will be added to his vacation time. The observance of the above holidays may be transferred by mutual agreement to other days than the date proclaimed or provided above.
